Peace isn’t a permanent state. It exists in moments

ONLY DEATH AND LOVE CHANGE ALL THINGS

She heard rocks falling down past her and over the edge.

Sylvia however did not hear Midas come towards her or even lay down. She felt his presence and could feel her heart start to thud against her chest. Images of how things are and how they use to be flashed like a broken record in her mind listening to the wind float by. Her longing for him was such a constant need in her everyday life that Sylvia did not open hear eyes when she felt his head on her shoulder. To her it was all her imagination, all a dream that she had dreamt so many times before.

His voice wasn’t quiet this time, it was loud and clear

Her eyes shot open with surprise causing adrenaline to shoot through her body like liquid medicine. His face took a moment to become clear with him being so near to her but it was very clearly his. His scent was different now. His voice was more gruff and solemn. Only Midas spoke in different tongue and even in her dreams Sylvia couldn’t quite remember his accent. It was the sure sign that this time she wasn’t imagining it and now here he was as if by magic

Anger, excitement and questions came in a wave all at once

A part of her want to get up and strike out then cry after realizing it was him. Another part of her wanted to just lay here and not move afraid that her imagination had finally snapped causing her to go completely insane. So with her dilemma Sylvia laid still and quiet wide eyed just staring at who she thought – was dead.

The harsh chill and warmth of his skin made her mind start to work again

Everything around her for just a moment seemed to stand still. Everything she wanted to say were lost the moment she felt them on her tongue. Was this actually happening? Was Midas truly here and cuddled next to her like she always longed for all these years? Lifting her head finally Sylvia moved her ears forward and felt her forelock fall from her cheek. ”I convinced myself you were dead because imagining that you just left wasn’t something I could bare”

Saying it out loud made the harsh reality come crashing down; midas had left her not died

The willingness and purpose of him vanishing felt like knifes in her heart. Anger flashed through her soft spheres causing them to glaze over. All the feelings she couldn’t bare all this time were being forced on her and by the one person who she always thought was the only one who could make it better. The feeling was new and absolutely horrendous. Sylvia wanted to stand up and walk away. Her love though came barreling announced forcing her legs to be numb underneath her.

So instead she leaned and buried her nose to his forehead breathing him in gulps

Her voice was soft and barely above a whisper ”all this time I thought I was waiting for something that was gone forever” Sylvia closed her eyes trying to calm her racing heart before opening them again afraid he’d disappear ”I would have died waiting for you my love”

And that was the honest truth.
