Enocra Woodland

Pine, spruce and firs alike...
Dense coniferous forests cover the woodlands, with clearings, paths and the occasional wildberry shrub throughout. Pine, spruce and fir make up much of the forest in the east, with the forest becoming swampier in the west towards Mecor Valley. In the west, cypress trees dominate, with fallen trees creating bridges across and throughout the stillwaters.

of all the things one says and does i look back on what neverwas

Since the birth of her second son, Rhae had taken to lying low for awhile in order to rest and gain her complete strength back. The boy of creme and russet chocolate had been born in the land of Taviora- but the little family had not stayed there for long. Granted it was safer, and it meant food whenever it was wanted- it didn't take the soul bound pair to move their little family once again. As always little Cae and Gaia went with them everywhere, and, now, Lucero would be joining them on their endeavors. And so it's with a certain calm, serene bliss that the Mother lounges in her current den with her youngest snuggled into her belly. He is growing more and more every day, and she knows very well like the first two- he will be out and off on his own before she even knows it. But regardless of where they go, Rhae knows her children will never be too far. That was why, perhaps, when a certain voice carried by the Spring breeze had the large creme, chocolate and gently cinnamon splashed wolf pushing herself to stand. Her youngest child turned and whimpered in his sleep, more than likely due to the lack of warmth, but soon enough he settled back down. That was a gift the boy seemed to hold- seeing as when he was awake, he was more than a handful. In fact- the boy was even more time consuming than Gaia and Cae had been combined. She did not know how truly lucky she had been with the two bonded siblings that were beyond their years and almost always well behaved. They occasionally wandered into mischief, as all young ones often do- though it was moreso Cae following his sister blindly loyal to the ends of the earth- but that was the most of it.

Lucero, on the other hand, was always getting into something that he should not. Whether it be wandering off blindly toward the mouth of the den or even leaving his Mother's side when out and about. His bravery seemed to know no bounds and for this he reminded her so much of her Iblis- but there was also a reckless abandon there that slightly unnerved her. Cae did not hold such a thing, and perhaps Gaia did a bit- but to the point of her newest creme and chocolate child? He was a different thing all together, and more often than not, it left her exhausted. They were peaceful moments when she was able to pull away in the depth of his slumber unnoticed, for the boy was indeed a solid sleeper. The moment her large frame made it clear of the den's entrance, she dropped down in a much needed stretch to warm her stiff muscles. Remaining in the den as she had been doing for so long was wearing on her- she had since healed since giving birth, and was more than ready to be out and about getting herself back into the state she had always held as a loner. But her son was needy and it was not often she left his side. Her other children were only yearlings, but they had learned much thus far and would continue to. But if ever they needed her- no matter their age, she would always be there. After her more than needed stretch, the large wolf Mother is off in the direction she thought the voice caught earlier had come from. She would know it anywhere, that high pitched feminine tone that so called to every fibre in her being and sent her pride soaring. Little Gaia was more and more out on her own, and Rhae was loathe to stop her in this aspect.

It would teach her well, Rhae knew, to be in the real world and to have real experiences. Such as the one she must be feeling currently- the pitch of her tones had given away the fact that the little red headed girl was terrified, and her Mother knew probably why. The young wolf had obviously been headed toward the den- but had veered off the path on the way. She had probably been talk talk talking away as she was prone to do- but to who, Rhae wondered. For when her senses found the scent of her daughter- she was not alone. There was another, unknown scent with her that was not her brother Cae. This had Rhae rather curious, and thus she quickened her pace. Soon enough, she was rewarded with the sight of her daughter and her apparent dark shadow. But the Mother is no missing a beat- no, her daughter is frightened and she has come to calm any fear, but to also show Gaia that all was not lost. For while she had faith in her daughter to learn as she would in the real world, there was the Mother instinct in her to comfort and protect her child. Closing the distance, her cinnamon dusted creme based tail is waving slowly behind her when she reaches Gaia. Leaning down with a gentle nuzzle to the top of the girls skull, Rhae gives a simple lick behind the ear before pulling away. While her bright oceal teal gaze is on her daughter, her expression is one of pride and care and love. Her daughter is growing into a fine wolf, and though she is young yet- there is much of her Father and even Mother in her, and she will be lovely in the years to come. Turning her attention then to the boy at her side, Rhae is tilting her skull ever so slightly as her exotic gaze glimmers with intense curiosity and interest. Just who is this boy with her daughter, and where has he come from?

Approaching him slowly, cautiously with her muzzle low to the ground- she knows her large size is intimidating to some, especially one so small. And so she shows him that she means no harm, even if some Mothers would demand to know what a stranger was doing with their child. But Rhae was no typical wolf, and had a certain intuition when it came to others. The boy did not seem fearful as Gaia had been- in fact, he seemed rather calm and relaxed, his gaze one of an admirable confidence and determination. Though it might have been over the line- it was not such a thing to the large wolf. When she was close enough, she gently made to lick against his left cheek if he so allowed it, before pulling away with a more than warm expression upon her finely scuplted features. Any friend of her little Gaia's was a friend of hers. Glancing to her lovely little one, then back to the boy himself, her rather low toned voice- at least for a female- is slipping forth in gentle inquiry. "And just who might you be, little one?" While her words spoke their meaning- so did her body language. If he did not know her words than perhaps he would read her posture and know of what she wanted. Perhaps he would understand, and perhaps he would not. But either way- Rhae knew Gaia would be more than happy to speak up for him, telling her Mother all she would want to know.

'Talks like this.'
