At Leisure Lake the sun is always shining and only a few stray clouds roam the open sky; paradise is the one word that really describes it. This beautiful lake is clean and refreshing, the very best place to swim and fish. Pups are known to play here while older wolves watch at the side, engaged in their own activities.

The cold bit at the titan’s face as he walked from the safety of his den. The mystical world was swirling with glitter and sparkles around his cranium and rest of his body, taunting him to start dancing in a world that was often left uncovered. It had been a long time since his last snow, and this one seemed to be the first of the winter. It was coming down hard and not even melting on the ground. Fall had been bitter. His eyes were closed when he inhaled the breeze, the scent of Athene coming fast. His eyes opened again with the brightest gleam, searching through the feet of snow for the creamy ess. Zev beamed, seeing the girl bound through the snow on her way towards him. he jumped to meet her, the feeling of fur sliding in and out from under his chin. His brows clenched when they withdrew so fast away from him, so close but yet so far out of his reach. Snow had fallen on the mistress’ pelt and face, glitter catching the sun and making her shine even more brightly in his eyes. The walk through the snow did not take another second of delay. His pace began leisurely, walking calmly through the snow as the wind bit at his heels. However, Athene started to bound ahead, excited of the falling winter and everything that tasted cold.

It seemed foolish for the boy to remain calm. He would appear as a being above, perhaps a father or something of the sort. He almost growled to himself. He bounded after her through the snow as the prints that he left behind were slowly filled. The glitter under his feet was white fluff, not any kind of snow that would crunch with a squirrel’s pounce. No, it was the perfect sound barrier to the molded leaves and grass keeping up all of the weight. Athene was far ahead of him now, the breath escaping fast out of his maw as he huffed away the sleep that had devoured him not a couple minutes before. Zev’s icy gaze found the vixen stopped about half of a football field ahead of him, her eyes gleaming and catching the dull light of the sun. The titan almost swooned. She was beautiful as the snow caught the tufts of her ears and the end of her tail and her small legs. The black stripes down her back resembled the calm light of a winter sky in the evening. He was awestricken to say the least, the look of her tasteful and everything he was beginning to realize had woken him up and kept him from sleeping time and time again.

He ran faster. The deadly reach of his gaining speed was incredible. The distance between him and her still grew larger by the passing second, by the passing length that withdrew under the giant’s gape. He was so close. The snow whirled around him and into his face, catching his whiskers on his eyelids and pushing the fur out of his features so he met the wind and the torrent of air rushing towards him, waiting for the power to go away. Zev didn’t like it; the more it pushed against the great force the harder it fought, the harder he tried to maintain control. He wanted control of the world so he could get to her, to share the space in the world that was all too big. Yet, when he was almost upon her, he saw something change in her features. Her whole body quaked from a power he didn’t understand, and the wheeling of his paws started to slow and his ears went back in surprise at what he saw in her eyes. Was it...fear? Right then and there would have been the part in a story where the world beneath him opened and swallowed him up, have him falling at the sight of what it was in her eyes. But, he snapped out of it. Because not a moment later, the girl from his dreams was gone.

No. His mind was whirling. Was he falling? Was he dreaming? His pace came faster and he skidded to a halt at the place where she disappeared. No, the pain was too real. It was all, very truly too real. The ice was faulty, a gaping hole and shards of ice gleaming out and catching the once so dull light of the sun. “No. No! Athene. Athene!” He raked his paws down the ice, his claws breaking into the glass and tearing it apart, spots of blood leaking out of the cuts the devil of ice had inflicted on him so soon. The titan almost threw up. Suddenly, her head breached the surface of the water, her body cold and her fur splattered to her pelt. He grabbed her scruff, not wasting any time to pull her out and into the snow. The panic inside of him was becoming very much too real. “Athene? Athene?” He waited for her to stand before he almost barrelled her over in the great weight and warmth he wanted to bestow on her. “I’m sorry, I’m sorry. This is all my fault! We shouldn’t have come here, we shouldn’t have dared the trek out in the snow. Athene, I’m sorry. I’m sorry.” However, maybe the fear was awakening in him all to quickly, too.
