Ruieze Fields

Open fields and soft grass...
Ruieze stretches far in the midlands of Moladion, laced with streams that feed into Diveen and out of Asteraia at times. The fields are vast, filled with wildflowers and tall, soft grass; trees are sparse, as are rocks, but one can find small shrubs to hide amongst, and the grass itself. To the south of the fields, a Ruieze River widens, and the ground becomes sandy. There is a small, grassy island that can be reached from the banks, with water-birds often congregating on the island rather than the riverbanks.

Oh such grace! Oh such beauty!
And lipstick, and callous
and fishnets and malice

For possibly the first time in Harridan's life, she had no desire to know who this other was. She finished the fish quick enough, but the growling in her abdomen demanded more food. She waded out, watching as the other made it half way across to catch a fish as it jumped, stupidly, out of the water and into her mouth. Well, that was one way to feed yourself. She watched as the other retreated to her previous eating spot. That was just fine for the shell-shocked sterling wolf. She moved into the waters, her nose hovering over the water before plunging in and snapping at the water without success. She snorted as she brought her face back up. Shaking her head just slightly, she wades a bit deeper and stands still for a moment, her body still with patience. Harridan would get another fish yet and she barely breathed as she waited for the perfect prey. Her muzzle once more hovering above the water, she dives down and this time her canines hook into the flesh of another unfortunate soul.

She whips her head back with a spray of water cascading every which way as the fish wiggles in her mouth. Holding her head high she moves out of the waters to the opposite bank. When she gets back to dry land she becomes tired of the flopping and shakes her head harshly once or twice to end the fish's life. Content to have it dead she once more digs into the flesh. Yet this stranger insists on breaking up the silence that she initially insisted on with questions as why Harridan wanted to be a Mother. Harridan sighed heavily, and rolled her eyes. "It's not really the pups...but the making of pups really. Although I suspect you know nothing about such things." Harridan hadn't really meant to make an accusation of Tick Tock being a virgin who couldn't drive. She had probably never been in the company of a healthy, dominant, dangerous male like Abraxus in winter. You try fending that off when your hormones say yes, and Abraxus doesn't back down. "Besides, my mother was a loner and I survived just fine." Because Harridan was nothing but a survivor. Even her latest foray into the grey area of life and death would not leave any permanent scars on her psyche.

But as long as this stranger was going to question her moral judgements, Harridan would throw some questions right back at the darker female. "You don't have a pack either.." That was clear by the dark fishing excursion this female had decided upon in the lands owned by no wolf. "I hear there are plenty here to join...yet you are by yourself. Don't you crave the company of others?" It was within their nature to crave the company of others. Harridan, herself, knew that she would also need the creature comfort of others. Yet she wasn't someone to be bound to a pack, nor to submit easily to others she did not know. Abraxus had a hard time controlling her (well, mostly her mouth) and she adored him.
