Glorall

Disaster has struck!
Flooding from the north has taken its toll on Glorall. The large tides combined with the increase in water draining from the Ruieze River has flooded the lower regions of the pack. The sandy soil, compounded with so much water, has toppled a lot of trees. Traveling is difficult even when the water is shallower, with the sandy soil below being difficult to find traction on. The daily tides seem to keep the level of flooding fairly consistent, too.

During the low tide, wolves may be able to move around the higher dunes (with some difficulty) but during high tide, the pack is almost impossible to safely navigate. Swimming is possible, but the risk of currants and surges from either the ocean or the river are very real. The island off of the coast of Glorall is untouched by either issue, although it is incredibly difficult to find your way there without being an adept swimmer with plenty of good luck!

Note: Glorall will reopen once 30 posts have been completed (or at Staff discretion). During this time, new threads will receive a 'Surprise','Disaster', and prizes. Glorall is currently not open for challenges.

My c o l d desire
to hear the boom, boom,
b o o m of your heart

She knew how he felt about their family. About their lost sister. About their wayward mother. About the half-siblings that did not deserve to be alive. And yet, she did not agree. There was still a small glimmer of hope in her heart for their litter mate. She did not understand the disregard she had for her lineage, the name change, the seemingly cold heart she felt for her children. She could not help but to think that her sister had perhaps lost her mind; it was the only way she could make any sense of the insanity she had so blatantly demonstrated. And then there was Ruvindra. Caligula could not find a way to make herself hate her snow white mother as much as Tesseract wished it to be so. She could not disregard the creature that had given her life, even if now she knew her mother wished her death. Yet did Ruvindra ever confront her daughter for the truth? Did she ever look inside the expressive mismatched eyes to see the real reason that Caligula killed off the half-blooded creatures that Ruvindra tried to pass off as her siblings. How could they be siblings? They were born of follies. She was born of spiritual completeness. And yet, her heart could not turn away their family, as much as she knew Tesseract wished it at times. She wanted eventually for her children to meet their grand mother, but Caligula was not stupid. She would not willingly put her own flesh and blood, born perfect, in harms way.

They were one spirit, torn into two bodies and forced to never be close enough to each other. He was the provider. He was the one that sweet talked the foreign dignitaries, he was the one who spoke to the masses with a silver tongue that promised gold enough for all of them. She was a silent example, she was the might, the muscle. He was beautifully built, agile and strong enough to take the world by storm. He was her Prince. He was the love of her life. As much as she was drawn to the wolves of a more feral nature, it was never in the way that she was always attracted to Tesseract. In her eyes, even the most wild of creatures, paled in comparison to her Sun Prince.

She came as close to him as she could possibly good, the feel of his gentle grooming sending chills and relaxing every muscle in her darkened body. He was her safe place. Caligula could let her guard down and know that everything would end up perfect because it always did. Even when he came back battered, bruised and broken. And yet, he later won his own land and allied himself with those that had beaten him. Caligula was extremely proud of him. There was no one that compared to the silvered wolf that now teased her about their daughters. Her smile broadened, and there was that harsh rush of air that took the place of her laugh, her voice that had always been missing from the darkened creature. She twists her head out of his grasp but didn't move from touching him. It had been too long since they had been alone together.

It was then that another nip came and he sprung away. She took after him for a moment, before play bowing. When it's clear that he would not run from her, she army crawls towards him before shoving her head into his chest. When he bats her in the face, her jaws tenderly hold one of his arms in her mouth. He confessed what she had felt. Once again, he was her voice even when they were alone. She smiled while her tail thumped against the forest floor. She moved closer and cleaned his face before placing her mouth tenderly over his, claiming him as her own. She then snuggled her head under his and though she did not show her belly to the sky (it was something she could not remember ever doing) she pressed against him and the rough sound of a happy, rough rush of air that was most like a groan emitted from her. This was pure joy, this was her happiness.

Still, the fact of the matter was, was that even this would pass. Then she pressed into him, inhaling deeply. He smelt of the shore side lands that they inhabited. Sea salt, pines and everything else that she had come to love. After a moment, she gets up and stretches. Yawning, she watches the landscapes around her, before she glances down at her beloved. It's before a mischievous grin spreads over her black lips, and she nudges him hard before darting away. Today they were the children they had never been as children. They had always lived in the shadow of the Fallen Queen, but today, today they left that shadow far behind. Today, they were the Potentate and Baroness of Glorall. Today they were the lovers they always had been and they would be allowed to express it today come Hell or high water.
