Glorall

Disaster has struck!
Flooding from the north has taken its toll on Glorall. The large tides combined with the increase in water draining from the Ruieze River has flooded the lower regions of the pack. The sandy soil, compounded with so much water, has toppled a lot of trees. Traveling is difficult even when the water is shallower, with the sandy soil below being difficult to find traction on. The daily tides seem to keep the level of flooding fairly consistent, too.

During the low tide, wolves may be able to move around the higher dunes (with some difficulty) but during high tide, the pack is almost impossible to safely navigate. Swimming is possible, but the risk of currants and surges from either the ocean or the river are very real. The island off of the coast of Glorall is untouched by either issue, although it is incredibly difficult to find your way there without being an adept swimmer with plenty of good luck!

Note: Glorall will reopen once 30 posts have been completed (or at Staff discretion). During this time, new threads will receive a 'Surprise','Disaster', and prizes. Glorall is currently not open for challenges.

She had to be honest; she never imagined Rogue settling somewhere like Glorall, but she supposed it must have been a pleasant change from both Diveen and Iromar. The sun was bright, the air crisp and yet everything smelt like fish and sea, a salty smell that already begun to linger in Malina's pelt. At least, she figured, it made her tremendously easy to find in the free lands. There were few wolves that smelt like Glorall, after all, but Malina found herself wondering - would the scent match her? Did she look like a sea side wolf? Wouldn't that be a funny joke to pull? Malina, born of Trenus and the Dark Angel of Diveen, turning a new leaf in a pack that was surely the under dog, just as she had always been. By funny joke, she meant it'd probably madden a few of the others, namely Heyel and Azrael though she was positive Ava would sigh (or growl) in relief. Oh, she wanted to laugh at that. She'd done a damn good job avoiding Ava even though she had expected the woman to turn up, teeth bared, at her doorstep any day since the war. It never happened. Ava probably knew she was right, anyway.

Whatever the case, she liked the imagine that she could just come to Glorall at any point but imagining having to assimilate once more into a new pack was surprisingly worrisome. What was Tesseract like anyway? Would he let her in? Would he put her in some silly position like, she didn't know, a scouting role or something? No thanks! Still, maybe it would be worth it. After all, she'd get to spend all her time with Rogue in that case and wouldn't need to worry about all the turmoil of Diveen and whatnot. The more she thought about it, the more it sounded like a potentially good decision. She'd have to see what Rogue thought... hopefully before the alpha found her.

It was like the thoughts of her worked in sync with her arrival, the figure that was unmistakably Rogue fast making its way into her peripherals. Malina couldn't help but breathe a sigh of relief, an exaggerated one at that as she relaxed, allowing her posture to slump a little. Not the alpha, but someone so much better. When the moved to embrace each other, she snorted in Rogue's ear, a playful gesture before she nipped at her.

"My attempt at being oh so sneaky, of course. Did you see my footwork? Awful stuff."

She flashed a toothy grin, her tail waving cheerfully behind her as she moved back somewhat, inspecting her friend with a keen eye. It looked like she was undeniably healthy - her pelt was glossy, her eyes bright and her wounds healed to perfection. Good, she thought, otherwise she might have had to strut over to what imbecile had tried to heal her and put a hole right through their chest - assassin's work, you know.

"You only missed my face?"

She recoiled, another playful jest as she stuck her tongue out. As for things settling down? She feigned a yawn, pawing at the air in a dismissive matter before she rolled back to be seated. She would have damn well laid down, sprawled out and soaked up the remainder of the sun if she could have but there were social cues she had to take. Maybe she'd lure Rogue into the water at some point - a final swim before the onslaught that was winter found them again.

"Same old, same old when it comes to Diveen. Ava has her little clones to boss around and Azrael has a literal swarm of them, too. It keeps them off my back at least."

She paused, her ears flickering forward as she frowned slightly and made eye contact. It was a quizzical look, one that feigned deep thought before she uttered something most quietly - why? Because, really, it was a secret to be kept. A secret that she had kept even from herself for so long.

"Say, you know I've missed you more, right?
