[ooc]
Sorry in advance if this comes out a little discombobulated, I'm really not feeling too well. >_<

Danny could tell his twin needed time to consider everything he'd said, and even though he felt guilty enough to ramble, he held his tongue. Continuing to apologize, or trying to explain further, wouldn't do any good and he knew it. He just hoped his twin could forgive his recent absence in light of the goal he was eager to reach, he thought if anyone would understand the compulsion to help others - to prevent other families from going through what theirs had - it would be Dylan. When Dylan cleared his throat and shuffled his feet, indicating he, too, had something to be guilty about, Danny lifted his head and met his eyes. Danny's mind went instantly to the dangers of combat, both the actual fighting and the training leading up to it, and his eyes widened in response. But then, forcing himself to move past the immediate concern and focusing on the truth of what Dylan said, Danny nodded.

"Yeah, Dylan, I think you'd be really good at that," he answered, his voice thoughtful. I think..." - Danny shuffled around a bit himself, then took a deep breath. - "I think Dad would be real proud of you, for doing that. Especially all by yourself. Have you told anyone else yet?"

Danny thought about that for a moment. Maybe, if Dylan hadn't already told the others, they could make the announcement together when they were both ready. And, though it seemed impossible lately, they could do it when everyone was together all at once. Then the thought came, and Danny cocked his head to the side with curiosity. "Is that why you're in here? Were you looking for some books about fighting? I bet I could track some down for you, I've spent a lot of time in here lately. I mean, if you wanted help..." Danny was trying to hide his hopefulness, obviously thinking he could help make up for his recent lack of involvement by helping Dylan track down whatever he needed.

At Dylan's question about his finger, Danny gently accepted his hand and gave it a considering look before shaking his head. "No, I don't think so... But if you're worried, we might want to go see Dr. Gupta. He's really good with this kind of stuff."

Then, it hit him. Danny stopped, his mouth opened and his eyes grew wide. "Woah, woah, woah. A roof? You... fell... off a roof? How in the world did that happen?"
