Ruieze Fields

Open fields and soft grass...
Ruieze stretches far in the midlands of Moladion, laced with streams that feed into Diveen and out of Asteraia at times. The fields are vast, filled with wildflowers and tall, soft grass; trees are sparse, as are rocks, but one can find small shrubs to hide amongst, and the grass itself. To the south of the fields, a Ruieze River widens, and the ground becomes sandy. There is a small, grassy island that can be reached from the banks, with water-birds often congregating on the island rather than the riverbanks.

Orion was still finding his way around the lands, going wherever his paws would take him, but his wanderlust had been dulled for the time. For he felt as though if he strayed away from these lands he wouldn't be able to handle the distance from Neveah. He felt creepy almost, thinking that way, but he couldn't help it. She was his imprint, his soul bond. She had explained it to him when they met and he was sure that was what it was. There was nothing else that it could be. He genuinely liked Neveah as well, and the more time that he spent with the female the more that he liked her. Obviously he sort of had to like her, but it was like they were developing a friendship. He wanted to know more about her. But he would give her space and not smother her, that wouldn't be good, he didn't want to scare her off. So he took the chance to learn a little more about the lands that he'd found himself in.

The wide open fields stretched out before him, almost begging to be explored. Orion could see the lake in the distance, and even more distant still an island out in the middle. The cool fall afternoon made for pleasant weather, and though he didn't really want to swim to the island out in the middle he would have to give a shot one day. He didn't really fancy swimming in the fall though, he was sure the lake would be chilly. He waved his tail slightly, beginning to walk further into the fields. The black wolf remained aware of his surroundings though he looked fairly relaxed and peaceful. His yellow gaze swept the landscape every once and a while, but the terrain seemed to mostly the same, a vast expanse of the soft grass he was currently traversing through.

Orion had tried to keep his thoughts as positive as he could lately, and it hadn't been very hard. Thoughts of his traitorous brother and saddened mother were replaced with thoughts of Neveah and the others wolves he had met in these lands so far. Taliesin, he would have to try and seek the other out soon, he had been the first one Orion had met in these lands. He glanced up in the direction of the mountains that the mahogany and golden wolf called home. He had been welcome there, Taliesin said, but Orion wasn't sure where he wanted to go now. He would stay neutral, a loner for now, until he could figure things out a little bit more. He had plenty of time after all, or so he hoped he did. There was no need to rush things, but he certainly did have quite a bit weighing on his mind at the moment. Maybe a little time at peace would help solve things. It was certainly quite relaxing out in these fields, maybe it was just what he needed to figure things out.
