The Cavern of Secrets holds much more than you can imagine. Once a forbidden place, the ban on entrance has been released...yet, is it a good idea to enter?

Once a great battle had been fought in this cavern, against a dark beast that had once - and still might - dwell here. No one knows where he disappeared to, but there are rumours...

The ess drew her cold breath in the dank cavern, trying to escape the cold clawing up the back of her spine. Her white pelt glimmered in the limelight, a different glow than her usual bliss. The cold had stricken her down as of late, the evening bitterness chilling her features upon her cranium while the snow slithered down through the sky. Of course, the stinging breath of the sky touched the edges of her face as the open sky she felt above her head disappear out from the range of her senses; she would have to stay here for now. However, something struck her as rather strange. Well, it shouldn’t be all that strange that another wolf wanted to get away from the wind without having time to get to their real den, if they even had one. It was just that Mink found the girl to be incredibly loud, her very sensitive auds perking flinching at the sound of her laugh. Oh my, how it felt that they were bleeding. Their beginning conversation had gone well before the laugh as the girl asked which direction she needed to go.

She felt the girl’s skin and fur touch the edges of her torso as Mink practically almost toppled into her. It wasn’t such that she could run her over, more that it would cause perhaps a stumble before a fall. The dam was built very small, the top of her head only as high as a full-grown male’s shoulders. She apologized immediately, jumping away and scenting the ess as she should have a minute before; the overgrown moss and mold of the cavern was very much so overwhelming. “No, don’t apologize. It’s hard to see in here, my eyes aren’t adjusting very well.” Mink almost laughed, but then thought better of it. It was impossible to tell that her eyes were nothing but white, the flecks of burning blue she held in her very, very early years gone away by now. She nodded, knowing that the girl didn’t see her. “Oh. I can imagine.” Mink thought it was just like she normally moved in every other day of the week. Darkness here, darkness behind your shoulder, darkness covering everything up around you for the farthest length of space you could even imagine. However, if a world is dark, that doesn’t mean there isn’t light.

The dam thought about telling her about her condition, but she also remembered what she wanted to do in times like these. She didn’t want wolves feeling sorry for her, helping her every move and guiding her into her own den. Mink was so much careful than that! Living a life in darkness was the same as living it in light. Her other senses were stronger than a lot of wolves’, it is just she got around differently. She couldn’t help her kissers curl up into a smile as another question escaped into the cold air. As she walked forward a little, the moldy smell and the dankness started to drift away, probably from the last remaining signs of rain, hail, or snow as well as harsh wind and the occasional drop of sunlight. Things were getting the smallest bit fresher as she made her companion started to call out to her, the scents inside of the cave pouring out of the rocky pores of the earth. “I think I might have found a dry spot in the cave. Can you find me?”

The ess lifted her craw into the air, inhaling the sweet perfume of the girl as she paced forward. “Yes, of course. I believe I can find my way now.” Within a matter of seconds, she was bombarded by her scent and the tingling sensation of a figure in front of her. She smiled in the darkness, sitting down onto the cold, dry floor. “My, today is so cold. And adding to that, the snow is deep so it is even harder to get somewhere I can call shelter. Have you been here for very long or just a minute before I arrived?”

OOC~ I am sooooo sorry that somehow took a long time for me to post.
