The Cavern of Secrets holds much more than you can imagine. Once a forbidden place, the ban on entrance has been released...yet, is it a good idea to enter?

Once a great battle had been fought in this cavern, against a dark beast that had once - and still might - dwell here. No one knows where he disappeared to, but there are rumours...

Let your nightmares escape your dreams....

Cora only felt the harsh flutter of wind smack straight into her face as the roar of the tornado and churning dust and debris filled the soft pools inside her auds. They were so loud! The only thought was getting to Cavern of Secrets before the tornado washed them up. The trees pushed them closer together, the dam feeling the soft mark of Summer’s fur along her side. It made her feel safe; if she was going to die, at least she would die with someone who was by her side and didn’t leave. But, today was not the day that the young vixen was going to die. Nope, she ran as fast as she could as everything around her started to shake with the power of the upcoming wind. Cora felt the muscles under her pelt explode with an anticipation she had not felt in a long time. Sure, hunting and feeling the power through her legs was somewhat similar, but she was running for her life at that moment; Cora did not run for her life once a month. Though, running was strange. Everything escaped out of her mind and into the air, tortured by the dust starting to seep into her nares. Everything she did was not based on thought, but the instinct of what this problem would cause. Oh how Cora loved instincts! Not just because they got her away, but because the thoughts she thought every day disappeared from her mind’s grasp for one moment possible.

Soon enough, the field of flowers was burned away from the speed of the pair of wolves traveling very fast. Trees took their places, deciduous burlap giants quaking in not the slightest manner. Surely the twister was lost behind them, but their fast paced running did not ease. Fear was overriding their senses, driving them almost past each ditch, thrusting them over every giant log that blocked the way of recovery. No, nothing would stand in their way. Cora didn’t even slow down as she hurled herself under a huge thicket of brambles, the top of her pelt being ripped away from her side as she continued forward. Her green gaze was ablaze in fury, wonder and panic mixed into one small emotion. Tension burned through her ears and torso, sending a pulsing movement up her spine. And within the next ten seconds of her run, the cavern dissipated right in front of their eyes. Almost as fast at it appeared, the pair of wolves were encompassed in darkness.

Water splashed over her pelt, sending a calming whisper through her muscles that their running was done for now. It took several long moments before Cora rushed out a question, Summer replying immediately. “ Yes, just tired now. I was worried there for a moment, haven’t been afraid like that in a while to be honest. But I think we are safe now. How are you though? Are you okay?” It was a long moment before the dam spoke, trying to catch her breath in the dank air before she really committed to a reply. “Yes, yes. Now I am. Yes.” Cora slowed her breath, starting to hear the water drip off of rocks. Truly, Cora didn’t realize how creepy these caverns could be. Actually, she had never been in there before. “Thank you. Seriously, though. Thanks. I appreciate you stepping in. I would have fallen apart at the seams and who knows what. I probably would have run into the tornado instead of run from it.” She laughed a bit, sitting down onto the cold hard floor of the cave. “Yeah, but thank you. Very much.”
