There is another here, and though it is best to be weary of those that are unknown, Cae finds himself at ease. Life as a loner had taught him much in his short year, to know how and when to trust, and to know how and when to follow your instinct. And right now, though he was by no means a social creature, the young boy found himself remaining where he was and awaiting the arrival of this other.

They did not take long to come into the light and allow his mismatched gaze of vivid teal and warm chocolate brown to find their fourm. What he saw reminded him of his Father, Iblis, though in a different way. His sire was patterned with mottled and darker colours it seems, while this young stranger was marked in a rather brilliant and beautiful fashion. His hues were distinct, and the fresh powder of snow upon his coat simply added to the appearance. The boy his gaze lingering on the other, waiting for the moment they would break the silence. But that moment never came. Instead, this other turned their muzzle to the gentle light filtering through from above and allowing a gentle smile to caress his features.

Cae knew this gesture, the smiles that others often gave one another. It was usualy accompanied with words as others were prone to talk their jaws off- but this other young male was silent and peaceful and simply right in his approach. But it wasn't exactly a perception of right or wrong- it simply felt good to the yearling. It felt familiar even though he didn't know this other at all. Without a word past his own jaws, his pale paws are then moving, bringing him closer to this other. It was cold outside, after all, and his tight knit family had always proven that warmth was something to cherish and covet. And others, another body, say, made this that much easier. But the boy at least had enough sense not to impede on the strangers personal space. They were, after all, entirely unknown to the loner.

And there was a scent that clung to him- that of not just a few others but a lot more others. A lot more others than Cae had ever met, that was for sure. The only large gathering of wolves he had ever seen were the occasional gatherings he saw in the freelands like the one going on not too far away from their spot. But they were safe and concealed in this almost cave, with their silent pools and gentle light, and silent as well as pleasant company. In turn, Cae was returning the strangers smile with a gentle, shy one of his own, not very practiced in this but making an effort. Perhaps, this day, as no other, he might find a friend. His only friend was his sister, and while he loved and adored his entire family- he felt the best with her. But maybe he could feel his best with this other young male as well. Just maybe.
