goes the clock, we laughed at fate and mourned her, tick tock goes the clock even for the monster
During her slumber within the comfortable den in Diveen she had felt a terrible shake from the terra firma. Confused and dazed from her sleep she didn’t understand where she was and what was making that damn shaking. Sapphire eyes looked to her paws, noticing that the ground was indeed shaking, but there were no cracks on the ground. Lifting her head she couldn’t see anything from the den’s entrance, nothing, just that the world was shaking for no good reason. Being mindful of where she was she got up and crept to her opening. Poking her head out she didn’t see anyone around, thinking for sure they all must be somewhere else then. She really didn’t want to leave, according to Meryl she wasn’t allowed to get up and move. Yet her bones ached from lying down too much. She needed to stretch her legs and seeing how no Alpha or Healer was around, she figured she was allowed to do as she pleased. She was a loner and it was difficult to get her to follow the rules. Seeing how there couldn’t be any harm if she snuck out to stamp out her curiosity as to why the ground shook, she walked out of her cave slowly. Wincing slightly from the pain she craned her head upwards tasting the wind with her nose, noticing that the ground was still shaking in another direction. Swaying her tail side to side she started to walk towards the area where the vibration under her paws were the strongest, eager to see. She may be greatly injured, and really she should be resting, but that curious mind of hers was rolling and she just had to see what was up. She would return, hopefully in time for Meryl to check her on his rounds the next morning.
It had taken her awhile, but she managed to find herself in a very odd part of these new lands. Her tattered ear twitched and pointed forward in interest. There by the crags was a new formation of caves. Moving around the fallen rock her ebony tail swayed side to side. She was from the North and caves and their networks brought a sense of familiarity to her. Eager to begin her new discovery she moved quietly, but slowly, making sure to keep little weight on her right leg as possible. Old scars seemed to twinkle like medals of Honor underneath the basking silvery glow of the full moon. The diamond shaped like mark along her forehead looked whiter than light grey, the dark grey markings along her chest and trimming her tail seemed to glimmer from the aid of the silvery rays of the moon. Sapphire eyes seemed to glint in new found excitement, her stride much better than normal. Appearing at one of the numerous entrance she stuck her head up, her mauled face looking neither better nor worse, as she moved her scarred muzzle to the side picking up any scent before she started walking slowly to see just what was there. She was a Monster and she was eager to see just who went bump in the night here within these caves.
