The Grotto

Disaster has struck!
Years ago, an earthquake broke open several entrances into a deep, winding series of subterranean systems. It was thought that deep below, underground rivers snaked their way below Moladion. Now, flooding in the Northern reaches of Moladion has proven this theory to be true.

The Grotto is almost entirely submerged. Many of the entrances are completely inaccessible, and those that are only extend a few hundred feet before ending in water. The lower entrances, however, act almost like a giant drain for Moladion. Water pours down into the Grotto's maw as powerful rapids and waterfalls, and large amounts of debris have build up throughout the area. It can be exceptionally dangerous to travel due to the risk of flash-flooding and dams suddenly breaking, but the Grotto does offer the most consistent access across the floodwaters because of those dams.

Note:The Grotto will return to normal once 25 posts have been completed (or at Staff discretion). During this time, new threads will receive a 'Surprise','Disaster', and prizes.

She always seems so calm and poised. Every time Warlow sees her he is surprised that she is related to him; they are almost extreme opposites. Where he is prone to frenzied outbursts Natu seems to suck all her emotions inside if she is upset. Of course he had gotten her riled before. He remembers her waking him about a year ago, trying to be her sweet and caring self. She had chastised him over and over for his grumpy and rude behavior to those she tried to meet and he had finally gotten beneath her skin. He had taunted her about her losses (not his most shining moment) to the point that she had turned on him, snarling, and he ended up clawing her maw. If Mistletoe looked close enough she could see the scar that edged off of Natu's lip courtesy of her brother. But she had forgiven him because it was in her nature and Warlow had actually felt guilty for it. Warlow moves his yellow gaze to Mistletoe, reaching out to rub his nose against her neck to reassure her. When she speaks of his kindness he chuckles, a deep vibration almost like a purr because of his contentment with his imprint.

Natu tips her head to the side as Mistletoe speaks and smiles in response before breaking into a chuckle to match Warlows. For a moment brother and sister are on the same page and yellow eyes meet her blue ones. "Perhaps you are good for him, then, Mistletoe. He has not often been inclined towards bouts of... kindness." For a moment her smile falters and she remembers his taunting words; the memory clouds her eyes before she shakes it off. It is not Warlow's fault that she is so affected. Time has not been as kind as Natu.

Warlow blinks in response to her words before casting an almost chastened look to Mistletoe. It was true - he was not a beast prone to gentleness. But with Mistletoe he felt he could become whatever she needed of him. Be it monster or angel. "Natu... I..." His rough voice falters and his ears flick back as he tries to put words to his feelings. "I understand now. How you feel." With that both the wolves turn their eyes on Mistletoe making the conversation obvious.

She is proud of him as he stands next to his imprint admitting his feelings - a weakness he never before would have shown. And she is elated for him but also sad for herself. "I am glad," she speaks softly, her dulcet tones sweet. Genuine. Now he understood how she felt. Lost. Alone. And she did not wish that upon him or his imprint. Mistletoe steps forward now and she turns her attention back to the reddish wolf and grins, laughing suddenly. "I only mean, Mistletoe, that I had never expected Warlow to find, much less accept, his other half. But I am very glad he did. Have you two found a home yet?"
