Aplos Riverside

Moladion’s powerful, winding river...
Aplos River is a broad, slow-moving river originating from somewhere beneath the mountains of Spirane and feeding Iromar’s moors in the south. The northern parts of the river are known for their strong currents, with the water becoming slow moving in the south. The riverbanks vary along its course, ranging from soft hummock grasses to small groups of pine, and sometimes nothing but pebbles and sand. Crossing can be difficult at times, but it can be swam or bridged by fallen trees or boulders alike.

goes the clock, we laughed at fate and mourned her, tick tock goes the clock even for the monster

She could not understand why she was slowly becoming comfortable with him being close. That ache in her chest was gone as she felt his black and white form press into her. As he nuzzled into her thick soft fur along the back of her neck, she could feel her tense muscles slowly start to relax. As his tongue washed the dry blood, cleaning the deep healing wound, she would sink her head deeper into her paws allowing him to continue. Although he was licking her a bit too roughly, more than she liked, she would close her eyes allowing this odd sense of comfort wash over her. Her tattered ear would twitch when she felt sharp teeth nip gently. Her tail swayed side to side annoyed as she turned her head around. Bloodstained lips were pulled back, showing her sharp fangs, warning him that she was in no mood to play his stupid little game. As his paw moved to her shoulders, she would get up slowly, not liking the feel of him trying to take control. Even if that was not his intention, touching between her shoulder blades was a sign that he was going to fight, and she was in no mood to defend herself. She noticed how big his icy blue eyes were getting, and she could feel his tail thump against her, and she would quickly move, turning herself around not wanting to feel his tail. She would promptly sit on the ground tilting her dial to the side, her mauled side of the face turned upwards. The scent of rotten and healing flesh filled the air as the bitter wind picked up the scent. Sapphire eyes glared at him a low growl rumbled in her chest. She was confused.

She was not used to kind and playful interaction. In fact, she really didn’t even know how to play. When she was a pup she wasn’t taught how to play. However, she was taught how to fight. When that one brute of black, with a tipped white tail, asked her to cuddle with him, she assumed she was supposed to tackle him to the ground and bit hard on his neck. Clearly she was wrong and that was not how one was supposed to cuddle. So, with Chael looking at her, showing the signs that he wanted to play she just couldn’t read it. Barking roughly, her cold voice clipped as she voiced her inquiry.

“What do you want?”

The Monster was mostly a killer. The only game she knew how to play was the dangerous game of chase with predator and prey. She was unaware that her kind could play with one another in such a non-life threatening way. She could not understand why she was slowly becoming okay being around him. She was use to stay away from others as long as possible, especially when they were weak and would hold her back. Chael was weak. He was an Omega. He was not a cockalorum/ She was too headstrong and incapable of taking the time to at least help him break his shell. Annoyed she would get up and slowly walk away from him, but not too fast, tilting her head, allowing him the chance to follow if he wanted to.
