Enocra Woodland

Pine, spruce and firs alike...
Dense coniferous forests cover the woodlands, with clearings, paths and the occasional wildberry shrub throughout. Pine, spruce and fir make up much of the forest in the east, with the forest becoming swampier in the west towards Mecor Valley. In the west, cypress trees dominate, with fallen trees creating bridges across and throughout the stillwaters.

Sometimes I imagine the world without you
But most times I'm just so happy that I ever found you

Her guardian rose high and strong, a washing her silvery white pelt until it glowed with an almost preternatural light. Her head was lowered, lips curled in a silent snarl as she stalked the underbrush, almost daring the creatures of the night to cross her path. She was angry; the emotion came and ebbed like the tide. It swirled within her heart and masked the deep pain that radiated there. She was alone, rejected by the one who surely loved her as she did him. She knew he felt for her, didn’t he? He felt the thrill of attraction as they had shared time together, reveled in the electricity that coursed through their veins at each innocent tough. Yes, he had to have felt it but then why did he leave? Couldn’t he have resisted the lure of his soul in order to pursue happiness with her? A pang of grief took her, causing her breath to hitch as her stomach clenched. She wanted to fall to the earth, to bury her pristine pelt into the litter and be no more. Yet, she did not. Instead plowing forward on silent paws, a ghostly apparition as she all but slithers through the wooden sentries, their arms overflowing with new life.

The call of an owl echoes overhead, drawing her ears, and thus her head follows. Icy orbs searching for the offending animal and as if sensing her ire the feature creature takes flight. She should have felt victorious but the only emotion that trailed through her svelte form was loneliness. It was intense that shook her to her very core, that became her only associate over the years. She found no rest, not even within her slumber for she was haunted by not one but two faces. She, her soul, wondered over her other half. She wondered if he moved on and found happiness with someone other than her. If he proved that it could have been done and Ragnar just chose to leave her.

A growl rises within her slender chest before bubbling forth from her mouth. She was of the North, a proud race, a wolf of greatness. She would not lend herself to such emotions yet even as she steeled herself, her body lowered. Her long slender legs, so perfectly formed for swiftness tucked beneath her as she gazed at the moon through an open patch in the canopy. A pair of bats dive and swerve above her, searching for their next meal no doubt and silently she watches them until they swoop out of sight. Eyes water as she beseeches the moon, asking for strength and guidance before lowering her snout to the ground in a bow.
