Glorall

Disaster has struck!
Flooding from the north has taken its toll on Glorall. The large tides combined with the increase in water draining from the Ruieze River has flooded the lower regions of the pack. The sandy soil, compounded with so much water, has toppled a lot of trees. Traveling is difficult even when the water is shallower, with the sandy soil below being difficult to find traction on. The daily tides seem to keep the level of flooding fairly consistent, too.

During the low tide, wolves may be able to move around the higher dunes (with some difficulty) but during high tide, the pack is almost impossible to safely navigate. Swimming is possible, but the risk of currants and surges from either the ocean or the river are very real. The island off of the coast of Glorall is untouched by either issue, although it is incredibly difficult to find your way there without being an adept swimmer with plenty of good luck!

Note: Glorall will reopen once 30 posts have been completed (or at Staff discretion). During this time, new threads will receive a 'Surprise','Disaster', and prizes. Glorall is currently not open for challenges.

I've got
desperate desires and unadmirable plans

If Sinclair didn't have what was known as puppy love, Maradona was not sure that she'd ever see an example of it. The way his whole body lit up like a full moon on the beach illustrated that he had a rather large crush on her sister. She smiled at him, amused by his antics and his feelings. It's like knowing that both sides had crushes and trying desperately to resist the urge to create a scenario where they would be alone. She was happy for her sister, and thankful that it wasn't her. She never wanted to be so dependent on another for her happiness. The world was not a nice place and Maradona wanted her heart to remain intact in the years to come. It was not to say that she didn't want children, but she could hardly see herself as the type to raise them the way her parents had raised them--properly. Perhaps she took after the grandmother she did not know she had.

As far as her social skills went, she was trying her best. It wasn't that she didn't feel any sort of commadrie with Sinclair, it was simply that she did not know him and thus, felt awkward approaching anyone. She would not force anyone to be her friend or anything else. Except Cersei. Cersei would have to be her sister until they were dead. She didn't have a choice in the matter. Maradona's smile faded just slightly as she considered the white wolf's question. It seemed that she should not use Sinclair's help with her own mission but did not a pack work together for the greater good? Surely that went against her desire to never rely on another individual but she knew that even if the white wolf could point her in the right direction she would not forget his help and repay him in some manner. She opens her mouth as if she would speak and then gives him a foolish smile. "I'm supposed to be tracking and then sparring with the wolf Viora...however, I'm not sure who that is at all."

She was not afraid of exposing the fact that she was still young, that she was still inexperienced and poorly socialized. She thought of the two tasks her father set out for her that she would at least attempt the one that would potentially bring her closer to the pack in Glorall. And them perhaps when that is finished, she would have the confidence to travel over to Diveen and seek out a healer. Why not be the overachiever and complete both? Perhaps she would rise higher than Cersei. She couldn't wait to see the jealous look over her red sister's face.
