PRIME MINISTER'S DECREE

"None." - Leader

The Offspring

Diccon (Cicada x Khar'pern)

Rules

• The Vulcan Peak is where homeless mares come to live as a sisterhood. Stallions may not live here except as captives or companions for the Leaders.

• Warriors keep mainly to fighting, Thinkers keep mainly to raiding, and Politicians may do both, neither, or act as diplomats. Members may issue their own battles and raids, but should generally consult the General, Codebreaker or Prime Minister for permission.

• All major decisions are determined by vote, but the Prime Minister maintains order within the Peak and has the final say.

• Elections for leadership positions will be held every TLI summer, provided the qualifying criteria are met.

• You can find detailed information about how the Peak works on the Rules page.

our courage will pull us through; imp

The day was slowing down; the evening was taking over as colors sprawled across the sky and followed the sun as it began to sink behind the Peak and further down. Little Bird was contemplating how she should approach Imp, hoping the filly wouldn't be upset by her sudden decision to explore the mountain. Perhaps she would be curious on what the buckskin saw, but the yearling did not think she would be interested if she did not want to go herself. Shaking out her mane and placing all four hooves fully on the ground, the yearling meandered towards the herd.

Her coat had been more harshly speckled with grey from her roan genetics and her mane's blonde streaks were more intense. She preferred to stay and watch the tall and lengthy pine tree sway in the warm summer's wind and let her mane be ruffled and messed up. She might need to be groomed so her mane did not snag on itself, but it would be worth it. Little Bird was not sure why she enjoy being played with by nature, but she hoped she would find someone who agreed with her someday. The wind picked up and blew into the buckskin's face, pushing her mane and tail back as her eyes drooped to keep grit out. The herd was packed tightly together, but Imp was at the edges and not as close to the rest. Little Bird picked her pace up slightly and nickered quietly to the mare.

Imp had grown since the buckskin's winter travel, she was taller and had filled out more. Her coat was still a medium chestnut, like red dirt, and she still had a blanket of white draped over her rump and haunches. Nosing the mare's neck for a moment before pulling back, the yearling settled in beside the only horse her age at the Peak. "How have you been?" She felt a bit awkward asking the question, not sure how the mare would react. They hadn't talked during the couple of days she had returned and the yearling was starting to tell herself that she was over-thinking it all. Slipping on a small smile, the yearling picked up one of her hind hooves off the ground and rested it comfortably on its tip.
