Glorall

Disaster has struck!
Flooding from the north has taken its toll on Glorall. The large tides combined with the increase in water draining from the Ruieze River has flooded the lower regions of the pack. The sandy soil, compounded with so much water, has toppled a lot of trees. Traveling is difficult even when the water is shallower, with the sandy soil below being difficult to find traction on. The daily tides seem to keep the level of flooding fairly consistent, too.

During the low tide, wolves may be able to move around the higher dunes (with some difficulty) but during high tide, the pack is almost impossible to safely navigate. Swimming is possible, but the risk of currants and surges from either the ocean or the river are very real. The island off of the coast of Glorall is untouched by either issue, although it is incredibly difficult to find your way there without being an adept swimmer with plenty of good luck!

Note: Glorall will reopen once 30 posts have been completed (or at Staff discretion). During this time, new threads will receive a 'Surprise','Disaster', and prizes. Glorall is currently not open for challenges.

HEY SISTER, DO YOU STILL BELIEVE IN LOVE, I WONDER? OH, IF THE SKY COMES FALLING DOWN, THERE'S NOTHING IN THIS WORLD I WOULDN'T DO

He felt as if he'd gone in circles for the past season or so, he had at first tired to find Everchime, after meeting Vega for the first time, he had told her that he would be back, and that he just had to go make sure his mother made it back home to Glorall. He didn't know that she had gone there and that she had gone to Tav until just after he got there. He followed her scent there and then for some reason it made an about face and came back towards Diveen, but then it moved. And it kept moving. It didn't stop moving and he had kept moving with it. Following her all around the outside of this place still unsure of what they actually called the land in which all the packs lived in.

It wasn't until the end. When he found a bloodied brown pelt that smelled faintly of Everchime had he given up his search. He had come back to the only place he had known as a home and would see if he could still live here. Then he would go to Vega and explain what had happened. But he didn't know that Everchime had survived. Was back in this place, and moved into Tavoria, as well... he didn't know that she had a litter of pups. If he knew, even just to see them and make sure that she was truely alive, he would think that she had moved on from him. Not knowing why she had moved with a pack of mostly males. Or why he had found a pelt that looked so much like her own and yet only smelled faintly of her. He wasn't one to give up but a wolf can only go on the search for so long before the clues all point to one thing. Death.

So he goes back into Glorall, knowing only that he needed to find a pack and he need to aclimate himself into that pack until he was able to figure things out. At five years old, Mortz was a big ass wolf. 42 inches tall and 211 lbs of wolf strides into Glorall as if he's always been here even though he holds a sad disposition because of not finding what he wanted to find. In his maw he drags the broken pelt of what he thinks to be his mother but is infact one of the females that had helped her escape after they had mistreated her so badly that she hadn't been able to give them pups. As he gets further a familiar scent catches his nose and he almost trips over the pelt as he comes flying around a corner to see Riopat and... someone who was not the old Alpha. He had wondered on the new scent. She didn't look like her usual happy go lucky self. "Rio-" he says through his mouthful of pelt, and then drops it like acid has hit his tongue for he knows that Rio might think it's Everchime and he had not really expected to meet anyone let alone someone who knew Everchime, and the fact that he doesn't know if it's her pelt or not...

"It- It's not what it looks like, I swear.... I found it... on the edge... oh Rio, I don't know what's happened to Miss Everchime, I'm sorry...." he was a grown up boy now and he was blubbering in front of an old friend, he is ashamed now that he's brought the pelt with him. It's not her's but he doesn't understand this and only knows that the wolfess who wore this pelt smelled of Everchime. She had been so sweet to both of them really. It's now that he see's the male with her and his nostrils flare slightly and his ears prick forwards. "I didn't mean to barge in... I'm Mortz, son of Everchime..." and who? the male smelled of all the scents that marked this territory as someone elses and it didn't really surprise him much that Glorall had passed on once again to someone else. "This was my old pack..." orange eyes only slightly darker than Everchimes looks at the pair of them, there is sadness that nothing would be the same again, confusion because he didn't know if he wanted to stay here in Glorall or if he should go back to Diveen to be with the one who held his soul and with Rio here... it added more confusion to him, grief due to finding the pelt that smelled like the only mother who had actually stayed around long enough to teach him a thing or two but most of all rage. Rage because he hadn't been there to save Miss Everchime, rage because it should have been him who had been killed and not her. Sweet, innocent Everchime.
