[khase continued!] something goes here

Danny was confused for a long moment when Khasekhemwy replied that temperature had nothing to do with language, finally realizing that the deity had mistaken his use of "cool". Danny opened his mouth, about to explain, but then thought better of it. Some things, Danny supposed, were bound to get lost in translation when one was working with an old soul. Likewise, he considered asking about something he'd read, that certain languages like Japanese and Hindi had different sentence structures, especially when spoken, than English, but chose instead to nod and make notes accordingly. There would be time for such questions later, he knew.

Khase was clearly not fooled by Danny's cough-giggle but asked nothing of him, much to Danny's relief. Quickly forcing his blush away as best he could, Danny listened intently about the rens.

"Oh, I see," Danny said thoughtfully. He'd heard stories, fairytales really, about the origins of the fairies, but had to admit he hadn't paid much attention to that particular area of learning. He'd always been interested in the scientific, in the plants and the animals and the way everything was put together. He supposed, in retrospect, he really ought to learn more about the history of his home and the powerful deities who kept it safe. Thankfully, Khasekhemwy seemed more than happy to fill in the gaps in Danny's knowledge. After recording the terms Khase detailed and their coordinating meanings, Danny flipped a few pages in his notebook, intent on keeping his language lessons and his other lessons apart, and wrote down the information on greeting deities. Whispering "seba'iqer" under his breath, and stumbling a bit in pronouncing it, Danny also recorded the polite terminology Khase mentioned: Allianah sitt, Gwythr signore, and Lorraine ledi. Though he doubted he would need the terms, at least when it came to Lorraine (who scared the boy more than he'd like to admit based solely on tales he'd heard about the goddess), it was a good thing to remember.

Danny started to ask after the use of deity names in conversation, wondering how he would bring up someone like Mallos (who, as a resident of the castle, Danny had seen on a number of occasions) if it was ever necessary. But Khase, seeming to read his thoughts, provided this information on his own. Danny visibly relaxed when the deity explained he would teach Danny polite terms for each of the other gods; should he ever need something in the future, it would be better to feel more prepared.

"Would it be proper to call you zehkau directly as well, sir, or would that be improper?" Danny asked, thinking that he wouldn't be very happy if someone called him "The Boy" rather than Danny. "What is the symbol for scribe in the ancient language? Would it look any different as a name instead of a description?"

Sorry if Danny's repeating questions he already asked, my brain is not working at all!
