Aplos Riverside

Moladion’s powerful, winding river...
Aplos River is a broad, slow-moving river originating from somewhere beneath the mountains of Spirane and feeding Iromar’s moors in the south. The northern parts of the river are known for their strong currents, with the water becoming slow moving in the south. The riverbanks vary along its course, ranging from soft hummock grasses to small groups of pine, and sometimes nothing but pebbles and sand. Crossing can be difficult at times, but it can be swam or bridged by fallen trees or boulders alike.

Harridan seems almost surprised to be getting such compliments and attention from a male. Compliments come freely from Enderly's lips. It can never be said that he is stingy with his words - sometimes he can be overly expressive. He was not stupid. Enderly used every observation of another to figure out dislikes, likes, and ways that he could manage them to his benefit. It could never hurt to know a bit about everyone but he wished to delve into the secrets of others. Some wolves liked battling for supremacy, but why? Why when only a slip of the tongue and wayward breath can give one all the power in the world? Here in this land with so many wolves and so many different factions -- it was like a breeding ground for secrets! Trysts, hurts, jealousy, ah the list went on and on.

As he surveys her languid body Enderly gets the distinct impression of age from her. Whether it be scars or her aura it does not matter. An older woman of such beauty should not be left alone, he thinks. But now she isn't and Enderly thinks he might just wish to stay nearby for the day. There is no doubt much this female knows of the goings-on of Moladion. Plus he was quite taken with the sly grin that curled across her maw. She does not flutter beneath his compliments. She shines.

It tells him something of her character, her reaction to his presence. Enderly paces closer to her. A rabbit, she says? Then a rabbit she will have. He is not normally prone to gifts - it takes so much energy to capture them for his own hunger and it wasn't as if the females he spoke to were his mate. Instead of answering Harridan he simply turns and leaves her. She probably wonders where he is going but he just stalks away, determined. Lucky for her he had noted a small rabbit warren a ways from the riverside and had kept the location in his head for obvious reasons.

Enderly proceeds in flushing out a rabbit, fat and juicy, with minimal digging and dirt. The moment it launches away from the hole his jaws snap around it severing the spine so that it falls limp and dead within his clutches. How sad that he must give up his treat to the female for a few words but these wolves of Moladion are weird. But he considers it a payback of sorts - he had bullied Denali into giving over her rabbit and now fate was demanding he return the favor to another.

It all happened rather quickly but still a good half-hour has passed since he left the female. She better not have moved or he was going to tear into his easily-won treat (seriously, why was it never easy when he was hunting for himself?). Carrying the rabbit back to the spot where she lays he drops the creature atop her sprawled legs with a rakish grin. "How far am I now, dear girl? Perhaps a kiss for all the effort I have shown?"
