Glorall

Disaster has struck!
Flooding from the north has taken its toll on Glorall. The large tides combined with the increase in water draining from the Ruieze River has flooded the lower regions of the pack. The sandy soil, compounded with so much water, has toppled a lot of trees. Traveling is difficult even when the water is shallower, with the sandy soil below being difficult to find traction on. The daily tides seem to keep the level of flooding fairly consistent, too.

During the low tide, wolves may be able to move around the higher dunes (with some difficulty) but during high tide, the pack is almost impossible to safely navigate. Swimming is possible, but the risk of currants and surges from either the ocean or the river are very real. The island off of the coast of Glorall is untouched by either issue, although it is incredibly difficult to find your way there without being an adept swimmer with plenty of good luck!

Note: Glorall will reopen once 30 posts have been completed (or at Staff discretion). During this time, new threads will receive a 'Surprise','Disaster', and prizes. Glorall is currently not open for challenges.

Ah, if only he had been bestowed the ability of entering another's mind. He'd always wondered what exactly made others tick, mostly for he at times wondered how others could often be so daft but... to see into Vadik's mind? That could have been interesting. Even from afar, he had noticed that flicker of fire behind his features. Many did not have that - that little oomph that made them stand out. The male, though? Well, he seemed interesting or at least, interesting enough. Perhaps that is why he had been inclined to show more hospitality towards the stranger. He'd already dealt with Ieron and well, as much of a pain as he was, he was useful and useful is what a pack needed. No wolf went without duty and honestly, that would go for strangers lingering on his borders too. Let him feast on the Alpha's scraps so that he might have more time to pick his brain.

As the other sat, Tesseract took a moment before he too fell back onto his haunches, his own tail wrapping over his broad paws as he settled into himself. He flashed a brief, obligatory smile as the male spoke - indeed, lucky day, whatever he wanted to call it. It was all just small talk, really and small talk meant very little. Perhaps other Alphas sought to know their pack mates from the get go, understanding their loves and fears but alas, Tesseract ran Glorall as a business should be run. He wanted to know a wolf's worth before he wanted to know their life story. That did not change today, though he shifted the carcass before him closer to the male with a paw.

"You're even more so in luck; it seems I overestimated my hunger. Take it, if you would like. Otherwise I am sure the crows are eager for it."

He shrugged the comment off, passing a fleeting glance to the birds of black that lingered in the trees nearby. He only truly bothered to return his gaze levelly to the other when he spoke again, Tesseract's brow cocking. Word in the forest? It sounded almost as if Glorall were some secret society only to be whispered about. How unfortunate, for he'd rather they speak of such a pack openly, shouting it from the summit of Spirane. Whatever the case, the boy wanted in.

"And what do the woods say of you?"

He paused, stifling a smirk that threatened to eat at the corners of his mouth.

"We are not a pack of fodder. Everyone has their use - what is yours, stranger?"

He added additional emphasis onto stranger, a brow following the inflection upwards, indicating an unspoken question - a name, would you? A name told many things.
