Glorall

Disaster has struck!
Flooding from the north has taken its toll on Glorall. The large tides combined with the increase in water draining from the Ruieze River has flooded the lower regions of the pack. The sandy soil, compounded with so much water, has toppled a lot of trees. Traveling is difficult even when the water is shallower, with the sandy soil below being difficult to find traction on. The daily tides seem to keep the level of flooding fairly consistent, too.

During the low tide, wolves may be able to move around the higher dunes (with some difficulty) but during high tide, the pack is almost impossible to safely navigate. Swimming is possible, but the risk of currants and surges from either the ocean or the river are very real. The island off of the coast of Glorall is untouched by either issue, although it is incredibly difficult to find your way there without being an adept swimmer with plenty of good luck!

Note: Glorall will reopen once 30 posts have been completed (or at Staff discretion). During this time, new threads will receive a 'Surprise','Disaster', and prizes. Glorall is currently not open for challenges.

warlow
male | six years old | heart and soul belong to Mistletoe

Just the day before Mistletoe had asked, tentatively, if they might consider the idea of pups in the next year. And of course imagining such things would be awkward for Warlow except that he knew the pups would be half Mistletoe, the keeper of his entire being, and so he had agreed. It would be a strange thing. Natu had loved her children fiercely - so much so that upon their deaths she had become melancholy. Before his mate he had never understood such sentiments. The deep, aching feeling of love but now... to lose her would mean to lose the only thread of sanity he had. So he would protect her with the strength his large body encompassed and that too of his pups.

Which is why Warlow was churning the idea of a home in his mind even as his mate awoke him. She was bouncy and chipper. This morning he wasn't as quick to rise as before. The colder nights and the upcoming pups kept his mind stark so he hadn't slept as well as he imagined he should. It was anxiety - not that he would admit to it. He groans as she speaks, not irritated at her but the stiffness in his body and rolls over to stretch each muscle. She is quick to wake him though with the thump of the sea bird. Warlow looks up at her and grins before digging into the meal. Feathers fly all around him and stick to his chin as he peels away the flesh from hollow bones, devouring it.

"Alright, alright, lets go," he says and smiles at her so she knows he isn't annoyed. It is hard for anyone to be annoyed with such a sweet wolf and if they ever did get annoyed at his Mistle, well, he would be there to set them straight. He slinks out of the den and shakes his russet fur clear of most of the feathers before brushing against his small mate. Now that he is up his muscles hum with anticipation. He reaches out and nips her jaw before darting off towards the sea land, Glorall, knowing that Mistletoe is on his tail.
