Enocra Woodland

Pine, spruce and firs alike...
Dense coniferous forests cover the woodlands, with clearings, paths and the occasional wildberry shrub throughout. Pine, spruce and fir make up much of the forest in the east, with the forest becoming swampier in the west towards Mecor Valley. In the west, cypress trees dominate, with fallen trees creating bridges across and throughout the stillwaters.

Samil moved about the forest floor on thick paws that barely made a sound, he moved with ease around the piles of leaves and skirted around the trees that had sprouted up years before he had even been born. He wasn't an old codger but he definitely wasn't a spring chicken. Sam could never be as quick as the young pale princess, he relied upon silence, patience and his pure brute strength to get any job done. So now he will hunt because a corner has nothing better to do with his time right? Right.

He can smell a yearling fawn not to far off and decides to move at it from behind, but there is one small hitch to his plan. Her. The frail creature of a wolfess. Streams stand out violently against the washed out browns, reds and oranges of late fall. Winter would be here soon, he'd have to gather some stores in the grotto for himself. And naamah to of course, he'd have to plan a hunt with the gang... he gave his head a shake to rid him of the thoughts. "You. Child. Keep quiet, get over here. Slowly... you'll scare it" he whispered harshly to her. His voice deadly serious as he motioned with his nose to a spot behind him. A yearling was nothing to balk about. Many yearlings were out on their own now and yet she was so thin.

He was not the type to pity others. In his mind the weak we're put down, the strong thrive and continue on. Yet, something made him come here, something out of his control. "You watch me, you'll learn a thing or two." He said as she came to him, his eyes forever on the yearling when the girl was settled down he pushed his big body close to the ground and slunk towards the thing slowly and carefully. When he was close enough and the yearling had calmed its nerves enough to continue to eat the fall grass.

It took only a few seconds until it was over. He leaped, throwing his weight again the yearling and toppling it to the ground. Perhaps naamah could teach the girl to use her size to her advantage, but like we said he uses his bulk to get his way. Once the deer hit the ground Sam pushed harder and crushed the ribs and thus crushed the deer. To death. He turns to the girl now green eyes a glow, "hungry?" A smile graced his lips for he knew the answer.
