Ruieze Fields

Open fields and soft grass...
Ruieze stretches far in the midlands of Moladion, laced with streams that feed into Diveen and out of Asteraia at times. The fields are vast, filled with wildflowers and tall, soft grass; trees are sparse, as are rocks, but one can find small shrubs to hide amongst, and the grass itself. To the south of the fields, a Ruieze River widens, and the ground becomes sandy. There is a small, grassy island that can be reached from the banks, with water-birds often congregating on the island rather than the riverbanks.

The black wolf stood out against the snow like a crow in a flock of doves. The snow crunched lightly beneath his paws as he walked across the fields, heading back to the pack that he now called home, Diveen. He had been so apprehensive about not being allowed into the pack but now he was able to call the lands home. It felt strange, having a home after spending most of his life a wanderer, but he was young still. Perhaps he would find pack life better suited to him, and the wanderlust that itched his paws would fade away in time. For now he was happy, though, with staying put. Neveah was in Diveen, and... well. His heart was with her, and that wasn't something he could help.

It was strange to think that he was going home. The word still felt foreign in his mind. Orion smiled slightly to himself as he remembered the place that him and Neveah used to meet at, it was quite close to where he was now. She had taught him her language and they had spent time together, laughing and getting to know eachother and just being friends.

There was no need for that secrecy now, though... Orion was pretty happy about that development. He glanced up at the sky as a light snow began to fall, the small breeze swirling it around in the air. Soon enough his coat was dusted with white, but his thick pelt kept out most of the cold. The heavyset wolf continued to walk towards the pack after shaking off his fur, which proved to be useless as more snow simply settled down upon it. He grumbled something that sounded annoyed but it was half-hearted, as if he didn't really care about the layer of frozen water that had chosen to settle itself upon his black fur.

Luckily the snow appeared to simply be a light snowfall and wasn't getting any harder. He had to say that being a loner during the winter was not easy, and he would know, for he spent several of his winters alone. But now Orion knew he didn't have to worry so much about that... He was fully prepared to offer himself in any way possible to his new packmates, and in return he knew that the pack would offer him protection from the harsh winter. He had to say that the whole pack thing sounded more and more appealing as time went on. Orion wondered if he would meet any of the other members of Diveen on his way back, or if he would pass through the borders without seeing another soul.
