Ruieze Fields

Open fields and soft grass...
Ruieze stretches far in the midlands of Moladion, laced with streams that feed into Diveen and out of Asteraia at times. The fields are vast, filled with wildflowers and tall, soft grass; trees are sparse, as are rocks, but one can find small shrubs to hide amongst, and the grass itself. To the south of the fields, a Ruieze River widens, and the ground becomes sandy. There is a small, grassy island that can be reached from the banks, with water-birds often congregating on the island rather than the riverbanks.

DEAR ME, WHAT WAS I GOING TO DO?

0000000000000 Age was more than creeping up on me, and to be honest, I was afraid I would die alone. I was already eight, and I had never been close with a wolf, other than my adopted family, but one of the opposite gender? Never. I mean, yes in the past I had an imprint, an awful one at that who always scared the living daylights outta me, and I was never going down that road again, no. So now, eight and all alone, I knew that I needed to make my life go the way I needed it to, right and perfect. I didn’t know if I would ever desire pups, but I knew I needed someone in my life for that to ever happen should I pick to become a mother. I hoped I would have the chance, after all, I was abandoned as a pup, and then adopted into a lovely family, and I was dying to make my mark in someone else’s life the way that Juno had raised me. I had to do that, I had to pay it forward in some way.

0000000000000 The air was thick with the smell of fresh blood, so pungent and bright, it was as if it was a ‘COME HERE’ bright neon sign flashing in the air. I licked my white maw, an uncontrollable reaction to the smell of a fresh kill. Along with the smell of the fresh meat, was the smell of many wolves, and without hesitation, I began moving in the direction. The air became thicker as I approached, my white pelt was stark, the red-brown blotches stood out against my sterling coat, and my eyes, well, those would always stand out. I approached slowly, not going straight into the thick of the group, hanging around the outside of them. While there was not a body on the ground there was still the smell of blood in the air. Some wolves were going on their own to take down a single elk, and out of the corner of my eye I saw her.

0000000000000 She was heavily pregnant, about to drop any day, and boy, she was slower than anything else in the herd. I darted off to the left, my paws barely brushing against the hardened ground as I raced towards her, large jaws opened as I neared her rear left hock, I lunged. My teeth felt the air rush through them before they sunk into the flesh, severing something before she tore away from my jaws. A rough snarl released from my jaws as I chased after her. A sharp bark was released, an offering for another to join me in taking her down. I knew she would be a difficult one, so why not offer another to join me in the feast?

(( ooc; i hope i dont ruffle feathers with her post! ))
