Enocra Woodland

Pine, spruce and firs alike...
Dense coniferous forests cover the woodlands, with clearings, paths and the occasional wildberry shrub throughout. Pine, spruce and fir make up much of the forest in the east, with the forest becoming swampier in the west towards Mecor Valley. In the west, cypress trees dominate, with fallen trees creating bridges across and throughout the stillwaters.

if only the world could know who I really am

Perhaps I have been enamored with the little world set forth before me. It is different here than in my home land. My home land is more wide and open. There is an ocean vast and grand that is forever my brother in company. There is even an island that I have not really visited yet. There is sand that is warm between my paws, and little crabs that skitter across the beach that I enjoy chasing. The forest, however, is a completely different beast, one that I must go exploring. The trees are taller here, the world is much more shaded from the glory of the sun. I do not mind it. I enjoy the world being so different from place to place, but nothing will ever compare to my home land.

My violet and blue eyes watch the little creatures mingle in the grasses, as I begin to image what it is like to be one of them. They have more legs than I, no describable eyes. They jaws are so strange, so exposed to the world. I am so curious about these little insects that, at first, I do not hear the approach of the other. I am not completely ignorant though. I do allow my ears to flash forward, my eyes twisting up to see the young lupine dashing forward in a prance.

I remain frozen as her russet form comes towards me. A golden hue seems to flash in the pools of sunlight that drip down betwixt the leaves. I find myself staring at her approach, catching her eyes that reflect hues of my very own. Her approach seems friendly, but really, who could not be taken by her innocent looks?

She comes to a bow right before me, my eyes dashing down to sees the insects I was looking out completely disturbed. Yet I had come to cease such thoughts when her face was so close to mine, my nose lighting and bumping into hers accidentally. I blinked, her girly voice capturing my ears as I pull back slightly. Look silly? I hardly care about how I look. My eyes circle around, looking at the root and the world around me before I look back upon her, allowing silence to pass between us.

"Silly? Do you not know of the small worlds in which you step on?" I ask, my face warm and inviting. I am naturally of a calm demeanor, my dark face gentle as I scoot slightly to the side as much as I could. It is a small inviting gesture, my head motioning next to me.

"Come see," I state, smiling gently with my black and grey muzzle. My tail gives a gentle thump behind me. I wish to show her what I see in the dirt below her...if she hasn't kill them all with her weight. I do hope that she moves and hasn't crushed them, for I fear they are much more fragile than I.
