Please Don't Leave Me

Silent people have the loudest minds.

I'd been hanging closer and closer to the shore than actually being in the forest. Each time my hooves became more submurged in the lapping waves and I had been more tempted to leave. A tugging feeling in my chest pulled me away, back into the forrest each time. Eating had been a forgotten habit as of late and walking away from everyone was becoming a normal habit. Did I really miss... Did I really miss him that much? Did I really miss the life of cruelty I had received from day one? Did I? More often than not I hid my face behind my long locks of ebony and kept my head lowered.

Lips often brushing the emerald ground, but never truly picking its riches. When it rained I lifted my head and did find pleasure in it. The light drops hugged my form and it slowed down my anxiety that often raced. I was having a hard time letting go. Maybe this was home sickness?

All these questions battered in my head, pushing violently against everything else. I had become a doll some days and others I had taken a liking to hacking at a tree. Kicking chunks out of the bark and denting it as needed. The snow had all but melted into pools and spring flowers had sprung alive. New life was comming around. New life, a faint smile pulled at my lips. Wait... ... Gandy! My head shot up and life returned in my dark eyes.

She was due how long ago?! And I missed it! I yelled at myself mentally. Frantically my eyes darted looking for her original pattern, but I saw nothing. Just trees, who would've figured. After all I'm in a FORREST. Quickly my legs moved into a trotted pace and I had nearly passed her in my panicked state. There under the branches was her and right between her four pillars was a pale figure. My nostrils flaired as I memorized their intermingled scents and I walked slower towards them. A lot quieter at least.

A gasp escaped my lips as I saw the handsome bundle of legs. Looking up at Gandy I nudged her shoulder affectionatley.Yup, I knew the foal would be a looker. He'll have the ladies fawning over him in no time. He was definately Gandy's and Lyden's little man.
