aurora borealis- noun plural: An aurora that occurs in northern regions of the earth. Also called northern lights.

In the middle of a dense forest of coniferous trees lies the Aurora Borealis pack, its name coming from its location. At certain times of the year, the northern lights appear, dancing almost magically in the sky. A narrow trail leads you through the close evergreens. Giving into temptation, you begin moving your paws. By venturing into this territory, you are venturing into a land belonging to a pair of feared leaders. You have heard rumors of them...but you decide to take your chances and hope that the tales of blood and death are merely fabricated stories to scare wolves.

You have walked nearly five minutes before you realize the sound of paws stepping somewhere from behind. Deciding that you've made a mistake, you quickly turn around, but find that you cannot go any further. Standing before you is one of the mighty kings you've heard of. His blood red pelt clings over perfectly toned bands of muscle. But that isn't what causes such fear in your veins. One of his amber eyes has a horrid, bleeding scar across it, and his good eye seems to stare right through you. His face is expressionless, giving off none of his intentions. You cower away as his jaws part.

"I'm Hell Demon."

His voice was deep and cut through the air like a hot knife through butter. Right where he left off, another voice picks up from behind you. You whirl around and find yourself facing another male with steely muscles beneath his pelt, which seems to consist of every shade of brown. He had startled you, and you're amazed how you hadn't at all detected his approach.

"And I am Ghost...we're the alphas of Aurora Borealis."

His deep voice was laced thickly with a Native American accent. His own golden eyes are directing a harsh glare your way. Now you're caught in the middle...your breathing has become heavy in your panic and you're not sure which to face.

"You've foolishly trespassed into our territory. You face the one called Hell Demon's whose voice is once more addressing you. Get out, or become a corpse along our border."

It's obvious they mean business. So now it's up to you...take your chances and stay, or heed their warning and waste no time getting out with your life.

His words caused his sister to smile but she said nothing, instead following him silently toward the deeper innards of their father’s domain. Their short travels toward the river was quiet and still, and he could only be happy that her normal frivolous nature had not allowed her to talk the entire way. He loved his sister dearly but it was in his own way, one in which he cared for her silently and enjoyed the moments where no noise was heard. He needed moments of peace. Especially in moments such as these, when his normal grandeur and stoic knowing was challenged by his current appearance of muddiedness. It was caked and dirty and made him look prideless in his appearance, when in truth he prided himself on his health and looks. It was not vanity, but merely because there was nothing that could be more important that complete and utter survival.

Upon reaching the river, he had jumped in, merely for the reason to clean his pelt. But his sister had other plans, jumping in alongside him, grinning all the while. Playfully, she splashed him and he frowned from the impractability of it, but then he realized she was trying to give to him what had been stolen from his childhood. Play. Fun. Love. A small smile trembled upon his lips, for so rare was it for him to smile that the muscles responsible could hardly keep it up for long. But he pushed it until a grin grew, holding it for a few seconds as she shoved him and laughed. He did not return any of the actions, for fear that he would hurt his petite sister. Still, he endured her playfulness and smiled at his sister while their bonding moment continued, until they were both completely and utterly drenched all the way through.

Silence returned and the siblings exited the stream together, Adara smiling while the snowy titan once more wore his impenetrable mask. She shook, covering him in more spare droplets. On his part, he moved a distance from her before shaking himself, saving her from becoming rewetted. It was only then that he had thought to explain his previous condition, and she nodded but said nothing until he asked a question of her, his attempt at trying to continue with their conversation. Bonding had been difficult for the pair, for she so dearly loved to speak while he preferred the lack thereof. I’m not sure. It just doesn’t feel like home yet. I don’t know anyone besides you. I guess I just need to meet some more solves, make it feel more like home. Striker seems like a good leader though. What do you think? Aindreas cocked his head to a side. “I cannot say that I know another in the pack as I know you, though in fact there is much I know not of you. But I have met others while patrolling. Senya, Bree, and the sisters that are so opposite – Lady and Nymeria. I am surprised I have had the occasion while you have not. You should make friends, Adara. You have the ability naturally while I merely stand watch.” His words were truthful and meant nothing other than to relay on facts.

Shaking once more, he sat almost daintily upon the earth and thought about how to reply to his own question. “Striker seems like a better leader to follow than my previous master, at least for the moment. Time will prove it one way or another. All that we can do is follow the one law that we must never break – loyalty. As for the pack itself, I have never really had a place to call home, so one pack is as good as another.” He had thought he would have come to call Munashii Gekko home… but not for the lands. Not for the leader, but for Genisys. And now? His thoughts drifted to an ebony painted ess that lived within these very borders and he smiled briefly, glancing away at the thought of her, a frown coming to sit upon his lips as he realized that he would never be anything more to her than her Alpha’s son.
