Wrinkling her nose Meradith breathed out before she looked back at her sister and mother just before jumping forward and taking off. She had been aching to run like her sister got too or even the other woman here in the peak but every time she did her chest began to ache, making it hard to breath. The more she pushed herself the more it hurt and for a while Meradith just gave up. She spent her days standing around as if she were and adult mare but now her physic is full of energy and as she ran away from her family she could feel the wind against her face causing her to smile in bliss

Dipping her head down allowing her body to kick up in a playful buck Meredith spun around heading back towards her mother and sister squealing in objection that they were just standing there. Unfortunately poor Meredith’s happiness was short lived as her chest started to ache with the rush of adrenaline and it forced herself to slow into an easy trot before a lazy walk. Snorting in objection Meradith looked at her mother and sister who seemed to be perfectly healthy and it just angered her. [she had no idea her mother dealt with the same thing].

Turning to her right Meradith decided that instead of returning to her mother’s side she wanted to go up one of the massive hills that the peak offered. As she climbed her heart began to thud making it painful forcing her beautiful sea blue eyes to squeeze shut as her weak limbs forced her physic up the massive incline before finally reaching the top. Up here she could feel the wind against her face that she so desperately longed for and once here Meradith with a heavy sigh fell to her knees and laid down.

Her mother and sister would probably follow her up here that or just one of them to check on her which she was ready for. Here in the peak it was gorgeous but her thoughts often drifted to the forest and her father. She barely got to know the man, only met the spotted stallion once very briefly before her mother ripped them away and forced her back into the water to return here. Personally Meradith wanted to stay in the forest and get to know her daddy and other siblings. She didn’t understand why they had to come back. She had no understanding that her mother was stolen by another peak mare and probably wouldn’t understand until she got older. With a shake of her head as the breeze gentle caressed her face Meradith laid flat on the soft grass and looked out at the bright blue sky that is littered with white puffy clouds offering comfort to the very confused and lost filly
