Min snorted and shook her head at Ro. "She doesn't know who she is, why should I?" she asked stubbornly, earning a surprisingly grumpy glare from the normally annoyingly cheerful Ro.

The four residents of the home exchanged glances when Sperantia spoke, clearly not recognizing them. They'd heard that Sperantia wasn't herself, but... Rochambeau blinked at the cat as she hopped onto the bed and approached, not exactly comfortable with her being so near, but he thought the purring didn't exactly sound like a bad thing. So, being Ro, the critter poked his whiskers forward in a friendly sort of way and sniffed at her in curiosity. Birch came around to the other side of the bed, sitting down but not crowding the cat, while Tor and Min plopped into a chair nearby (with only a slight objection from Min at the sudden movement). Ro edged carefully around the cat to curl in Birch's lap, confident she'd protect him if Sper's thoughts turned less friendly.

"I'm Birch, and that's Torram. You've not met our familiars before, this is Rochambeau and the owl is Minerva," she said by way of introduction. Tor waved and Ro poked his whiskers out again, even lifting a paw in greeting, while Min sat in stuffy silence. "We, Tor and I, met you and Mallos on our first day here in Shaman. Mallos saved Tor's life, and you taught us everything we needed to get started here. In fact, you helped us find this place. Without the two of you..."

Birch trailed off with a shrug. Tor sat forward, causing Min to leave his shoulder and rest on the back of his chair instead.

"Where've you been all this time?" he asked curiously. "We've been trying to keep an eye out for you. We owe you a lot, you and Mallos."
