Aplos Riverside

Moladion’s powerful, winding river...
Aplos River is a broad, slow-moving river originating from somewhere beneath the mountains of Spirane and feeding Iromar’s moors in the south. The northern parts of the river are known for their strong currents, with the water becoming slow moving in the south. The riverbanks vary along its course, ranging from soft hummock grasses to small groups of pine, and sometimes nothing but pebbles and sand. Crossing can be difficult at times, but it can be swam or bridged by fallen trees or boulders alike.

Ember’s day was going great, at least in his mind. He had plenty of things to take care of but instead, he was sitting, wasting time. That basically described his whole life so far. His pelt shook lightly one last time to release the last droplets of water in his pelt; it was almost dry and back to it’s soft, clean state. His attention was then turned to an original looking lady who seemed to be coming his way. Immediately, a smirk is painted on Ember’s face and eyes lit up in their fiery instinct. She was… quite a sight. Definitely a bit different than what he was used to being around back in his home lands. Then again, so far, this place already seemed quite different in its own little way.

His old homeland was divided into 3 territories run by a king (or queen in the south’s case). Still, they were referred to as Alpha, though the lands are bigger than most traditional packlands. Each pack was bred through so many generations that all wolves within a pack looked mostly like each other. White and fluffy up north with gray-black markings. Central, Ember’s home, was filled with gray-black bodied wolves with few having a patch or two of white. Down south they had been breed to be the saddest, maddest colors; grays, browns, and blacks. Ember’s land was considered a neutral standing land. The colors seen on Ember when he was born created a bit of an uproar. Red hues and shades underneath a black coat? It was certainly one of the craziest appearances around. He was allowed to stay in his homeland, though many wanted him out. Not because of his odd coloring, but because of his rude attitude.

His eyes can over the female before him; she could easily be easier than him, her built wasn’t feminine, what a shame. He loved the curvy ladies. Her horn-like red markings were what caught his attention. Never had he seen such a marking. He simply smirked in amusement before locking into her eyes as she spoke. A small laugh leaves him before his response leaves his mouth. “If you’re with me, does it really matter?” he shoots her a look. Truth was that he had no idea. She seemed to have just arrived and so had he. Even if he knew, he wouldn’t let her know without a bit of trouble making here and there. She didn’t seem to be gentle at all; her appearance, voice, and stance gave off that vibe. Surely this little meeting would be… interesting.

Soon after responding to her, his fiery amber optics locked onto hers, specifically, her right eye. Her eyes were a deep emerald but her right eye had a scarlet ring. He tried not to stare, but it was inevitable. He simply shone his bright gaze back to her as he awaited a reaction, the sun now warming his pelt and body to a more comfortable dry state. Finding a home could wait, making some friends just sounds a little funner.
