Crimson paws carried the brute through the darkest recesses of the caverns. He had to stop to see exactly where his wandering had brought him. He looked around, taking in every detail that surrounded him. The cavern was dark and ominous, the only sounds he could hear besides that of his own heavy breaths was the echoing drip of water somewhere in the shadows. However, as his eyes adjusted to the dark, Vistune noticed just haw flawless the cavern truly was. The walls were lined with flecks of minerals that shimmered in what little light was visible. He shook his head when a drop of water fell on his nose and he turned his snout toward the roof of the cavern, watching as more droplet fell from the stalactites above.

But no, that was enough wondering. Vistune paused, his front paws engulfed in a small puddle of water that had collected in one of the indents in the floor. He knew not of how he'd arrived. One minute he was on his way to the long, winding river where he'd hoped to meet someone special, and the next second he was enveloped in a never-ending darkness. All he knew for sure was that he had no sense of direction whatsoever.

Perhaps this wouldn't be so bad, he thought as he moved to climb a few rocks that led up to a ledge, flopping onto his side and resting his head on his massive paws. The cavern was quiet and serene. It had been so long since he'd actually had a peaceful place to rest. He let out a slow, soft sigh, his eyes fluttering as he relaxed further, allowing the calm of the cavern to wash over him.
