Glorall

Disaster has struck!
Flooding from the north has taken its toll on Glorall. The large tides combined with the increase in water draining from the Ruieze River has flooded the lower regions of the pack. The sandy soil, compounded with so much water, has toppled a lot of trees. Traveling is difficult even when the water is shallower, with the sandy soil below being difficult to find traction on. The daily tides seem to keep the level of flooding fairly consistent, too.

During the low tide, wolves may be able to move around the higher dunes (with some difficulty) but during high tide, the pack is almost impossible to safely navigate. Swimming is possible, but the risk of currants and surges from either the ocean or the river are very real. The island off of the coast of Glorall is untouched by either issue, although it is incredibly difficult to find your way there without being an adept swimmer with plenty of good luck!

Note: Glorall will reopen once 30 posts have been completed (or at Staff discretion). During this time, new threads will receive a 'Surprise','Disaster', and prizes. Glorall is currently not open for challenges.

THE HERE AND NOWALPHA OF GLORALL

I expected to have to wait for Tesseract, but it would seem as though the alpha had other plans. I smile warmly as I see the daughter of my leaders confidently approaching the island, my white banner waving in welcome as I respectfully incline my head to her. She explains that her father sent her, and I understand that to mean she is also being tested in proficiency, though I doubt Tess would send one of his own daughters to become healers, he would likely want them to be leaders.

Not that I blame him, and honestly I find it kind of nice that he wanys the best for his children. My own parents never wanted anything for me other than death. I wonder if I am always going to feel this jealousy against wolves with parents that care.

I wait for her to introduce herself, watching the confidence flee from her body as she does so. "Cersei, it is a pleasure and honor to meet you. I am Riopat, as your father no doubt told you already. As for my report, the mothers of Glorall are seeming to lose weight more rapidly than their mates can provide food to replace it. I suggest a hunt of large game at least twice in a month, and at least something substabtial for the weeks between. Also, they need more water to drink. The brackish water is not good for them and has dehydrating effects on the body." I pause to let her soak it all in, then I give her the short easy version. " They and their pups are in good health, the mothers simply need more food."

A question nearly explodes in my mind, one that my hope rises for a positive response. "You said you had learning to do. What knowledge do you see me giving you?" I smile softly, watching her reactions and wondering if she is the only wolf who seeks to learn of healing in Glorall, surely others will be here.
