Glorall

Disaster has struck!
Flooding from the north has taken its toll on Glorall. The large tides combined with the increase in water draining from the Ruieze River has flooded the lower regions of the pack. The sandy soil, compounded with so much water, has toppled a lot of trees. Traveling is difficult even when the water is shallower, with the sandy soil below being difficult to find traction on. The daily tides seem to keep the level of flooding fairly consistent, too.

During the low tide, wolves may be able to move around the higher dunes (with some difficulty) but during high tide, the pack is almost impossible to safely navigate. Swimming is possible, but the risk of currants and surges from either the ocean or the river are very real. The island off of the coast of Glorall is untouched by either issue, although it is incredibly difficult to find your way there without being an adept swimmer with plenty of good luck!

Note: Glorall will reopen once 30 posts have been completed (or at Staff discretion). During this time, new threads will receive a 'Surprise','Disaster', and prizes. Glorall is currently not open for challenges.

I watched over the families as they played by the beach, dark eyes full of a longing I could not stand, jealousy making my heart green and sick as i viewed the females lovingly play and groom her pups. Lucky cubs to have a pack and mother to attend their young whims, to feed and shelter their minds and bodies.

With a heavy sigh i turn from the pups, finding that i am jealous of them as well. Why does everyone leave me, and why can't they ever tell me when they do? Why can't i have what those females have? What cruelty have i committed for Fate to be so spiteful!?

Alone with my herbs and the grandaddy long legged spiders -the real ones, not the fat bodied counterfeit - to make my cobwebs. Lonesomeness has driven me to name them, and feed them accidentaliy when i attract flies, as all wolves do in summer. i lay in the relative coolness of my spacious den, wondering if i should go out and gather more comfrey leaves, never know when a hunter is injured or Tesseract will have to fight, i have a few stashed in here though i can't be sure if it will be enough. Helpful that it grows near by. I watch the pack's mainland, but interest falls flat as i contemplate socializing with the pack. It is nothing personal to them, i just can't bring myself to forget what my birth pack taught me
Sea gulls call overhead, or what i thought was a sea gull, sensitive nose snatching a secretly cherished scent to my nose. I do not catch the blood until my navy blue eyes catch fins in the waves, whites showing as monsters come from the deep toward me as they do for the seals of Glorall. I fly as fast as my alabaster frame can stand, searching the beach, Mortz and blood covering the area in a stronger way as I hunt him out. My heart protests harshly within the cage of my chest, then suddenly halts as I try to take in what i see before me, instinct pushing at my paws to make them move faster, despite my lack of pulse. "Mortz!!" i shout, paws digging into the loose sand to slow my pace, a whimper at his lack of response. "If you don't wake up, I wil never hunt rabbits again..." I shut my eyes, then open them, nothing.

"Sorry if you feel this, but i must get you out of the water." i say it as i circle him, my eyes searching for any sign of broken bones. i make my way to his nape, wishing i could grab him anywhere else. Dipping my head to the salty bracken water and sucking up some to hold in my tounge, spilling it onto the gash to cleanse it. Perhaps it will burn enough to wake him, I am unsure if i can drag him...
