Ruieze Fields

Open fields and soft grass...
Ruieze stretches far in the midlands of Moladion, laced with streams that feed into Diveen and out of Asteraia at times. The fields are vast, filled with wildflowers and tall, soft grass; trees are sparse, as are rocks, but one can find small shrubs to hide amongst, and the grass itself. To the south of the fields, a Ruieze River widens, and the ground becomes sandy. There is a small, grassy island that can be reached from the banks, with water-birds often congregating on the island rather than the riverbanks.

It was rather interesting to watch the way his half-lidded eyes shot open. The inky darkness of his eyes was eerie and she found herself almost drawn into them as she had been with the stars only a few short hours ago. Yet the comical expression of horror on his face had her smiling and a laugh rumbled from her chest; it is not the musical laugh that dances from a petite butterfly of a woman. It is sultry sounding, deep and womanly, as is her voice. In her life she had yet to meet a wolf that would actually starve themselves - even her mother would not have set aside her own meal even to give to Aithne. As soon as she was up and running on her four paws she was left to fend for herself. Die or survive and thus she had thrived into the wolf she is today. Nothing would ever stand in her way.

Still. She had met a wolf that claimed to be cursed with cannibalism here so it wasn't a far stretch to assume some wolves purged themselves of meals often or even chose to forgo hunting. Maybe a rumbling stomach was comforting to them but after years of savagely fighting for each scrap of flesh she could find Aithne would never do such. In this land where so much abounded - so many wolves, prey, vegetation, water - there seemed an infinite amount of supplies and she took full use of them. Gorging until her belly swelled and her hunger was assuaged, although by that time the hunger was merely a memory of the sensation.

Depending on what transpired with this meeting she would either lead Sawyer back to Iromar or head off to fill her stomach to it's breaking point for another day and maybe find a small, empty den to nap away the rest of the day. Such a weird thing to do for her but it sounded appealing. Her grin matched the one that suddenly found it's way onto his fox-like maw, so slender as it was. The male was really rather small, he ought to eat his bird. And more. She shrugs her shoulders forward in the universal sign of 'who knows?' "I'm with you on that one, Shadow, but I've met some rather strange wolves in my time here. Where you come from, did you ever hear of a curse that drives one to eat the flesh of another wolf?"

Now her eyes take on an avid look of interest; despite sitting poised she almost seems to lean forward to better catch whatever reply he would say. She wanted to know more about this atrocious act that made her shiver and the hair rise along her spine. Wanted to figure out a way to fix Malikye, for the sake of his appearance and mental perception as well as for the sake of any in his way. "Well met, Sawyer." Her smile now is almost coy at the use of his name for she didn't plan on using it really. He was more of a shadow to her and by his response it didn't seem he cared a whit if she called him that. "Have you an idea of where to go from here or are you content with living the life of a traveler?"
