Enocra Woodland

Pine, spruce and firs alike...
Dense coniferous forests cover the woodlands, with clearings, paths and the occasional wildberry shrub throughout. Pine, spruce and fir make up much of the forest in the east, with the forest becoming swampier in the west towards Mecor Valley. In the west, cypress trees dominate, with fallen trees creating bridges across and throughout the stillwaters.

I know that Andras has every reason in the world to hate me, to turn on his back on me and yet he doesn't. I don't understand but I want to. I don't think I'm special and I know with a mother like Chernobyl and what she did to the pack, I should have been exiled with my family and made to find somewhere else to live or better yet, live out the rest of my days as a loner. I wouldn't have been content with that but luckily for me, I don't have to be. Andras is giving me a chance and I don't plan on losing it.

He must be curious about what happened while I was away. I have returned to Moladian with new scars to show the training I've been going through. The older female warrior I met, Nichols. She was nice to me but she pushed me harder than I've ever been pushed. She only had one eye and yet I never saw her lose in battle. She liked to instigate fights. She would go out of her way to insult another wolf just to make them lose their temper and turn on her. She loved the taste of blood in her mouth. She was always eager for the next time she felt the pain of someone's jaws around her flesh. I thought she was just crazy when I first met her but the more I trained with her, the more I started to understand her.

Now I can't get enough of it. Fighting is my calling. I know that I will be great at it and I know that it's all I want to do. I don't plan on going out and starting fights but I damn sure plan on finishing them. I know that Iromar has plenty of room for warriors and I don't plan on stopping until I reach the top of that ladder. I will be the top fighter in Moladian and I won't stop till I hold that title. I don't care who I have to knock down a peg or two to get there.

As I ask what we're doing, I half expect that he ignored me. I see his ear flick back but he takes his time in answering so I wait patiently for it to come. Either he'll answer or he won't. When he does answer, it's very vague and my ears flick back, my lips forming a scowl but I don't say anything, not wanting to anger him. When I mention the pack, he doesn't seem concerned. At one point though, he suddenly stops and says to shut up out of nowhere. I stop abruptly and flick my ears back, glancing at him in question. Then he explains and a slow smirk etches acoss my lips as I follow his gaze. My second skull. My tail flicks in anticipation and I lick my lips.

At his two words, I don't worry about giving a reply, answering instead with my sudden burst of speed as I take off in hot pursuit, right on his heels and gaining fast. I'm not as quiet as he is but I am pretty graceful when I run. You wouldn't think it by looking at my bulky body made more for fighting than running but none the less, Nichols taught me a lot about stamina and running was a big part of that. She taught me to be graceful when I run, to place my feet with purpose in every stride and that's what I do now as I get shoulder to shoulder with Andras and fan out from him to corner the elk faster.

As the elk sees Andras coming, it turns to run and trips. I lick my lips again as I coil my legs and get ready to pounce, waiting just a moment longer to see where Andras is going so I don't get in his way. He grabs onto the hind leg so I aim higher, launching at the elk's neck right behind the jaws. I try to dig my claws into the elk's neck to hold it down with my weight as I snap my powerful jaws at the neck muscle, aiming to wound it as much as possible so I can go for the jugular but I make sure to watch those mgithy antlers, knowing that it can swing them up at me at any moment and sure that it will.

I dodge in and out with my bites, staying only long enough at the neck to bite down again before backing off before it can retaliate. I try each time to go lower and lower so that I can sever the jugular vein but I'm patient with my attacks, knowing that as long as the elk stays down, we will get our death. If the elk does try to get back up, I'll jump at its shoulders, aiming to push my weight into it to push it back down on its side and keep it helpless.
