Aplos Riverside

Moladion’s powerful, winding river...
Aplos River is a broad, slow-moving river originating from somewhere beneath the mountains of Spirane and feeding Iromar’s moors in the south. The northern parts of the river are known for their strong currents, with the water becoming slow moving in the south. The riverbanks vary along its course, ranging from soft hummock grasses to small groups of pine, and sometimes nothing but pebbles and sand. Crossing can be difficult at times, but it can be swam or bridged by fallen trees or boulders alike.

MALIKYE
demon - iromar - imprint - mate

Sharp canines rip away the slimy flesh easily, his head lifting to merely swallow the meal as he ignores the urge to speak to the only one he had dared to speak to other than Andras. Ears casually flatten, brilliant blues hardly flickering towards her and instead remain fixed upon his pile of food that was getting smaller and smaller by the mere minutes. “ Well…maybe you aren’t cursed after all.” Ears snap upward, eyes casually flicking towards her before he finds himself pausing; the girl was absolutely filthy. Slowly, ever so slowly does the demon lift his head from his meal. Those icy shards of his unyielding as he appears to tense, staring at her without blinking as if seeing her for the very first time. For what seems like eternity, the beast just stares. Normally within his gaze it would appear to be the hunger of a predator for his body structure literally looked like he was going to attack and eat her. Which wouldn’t be surprising seeing how the cannibal hadn’t eaten flesh in a long while and these fish were scrawny as hell.

Finally, Malikye raises his head fully, eyes looking down upon her as his brow seems to arch. Kisser twitch, as if to hide a smile. “You look better this way.” A short, swift nod and then the best lowers his head, resuming his feast and every so often flicking his gaze back to her. He remembers hearing Andras’ harsh words at the border while he lurked in the shadows watching for a moment and awaiting her verdict. After the demon king’s instant reaction at her though, Malikye had snorted, not bothering with listening anymore and simply leaving to avoid trouble. He had slithered to his den, one that was on the very edge of the other part of Iromar, near the border where none seem to reside. Like a guard dog almost and awaiting orders until hunger had drove him out of hiding and to where he was now.

The fish disappear, and Malikye finally fully returns his attention to the dame that has been the first to live within his presence. Maybe he was growing soft with time or maybe it was because he knew the girl would put up a fight that he honestly didn’t feel like fighting. Females had far better uses than their mere flesh and blood. The beast moves forward, daring to step over the once ago meal as blue irises remain locked upon the girl’s own orbs. He is tempted to draw close, to hear the blood pulse beneath her veins but instead, his mind races back to the last time he had attempted such a thing and the wraith pauses a few feet away from her. It is then that he recalls her earlier statement and his auds flick back, plastering against such a strong cranium as his kisser twitches. He is concealing a snarl for he knows she wouldn’t care at all about such a show. “I did not choose to hate the flesh I had just feasted on. I did not choose to crave the very blood that keeps you alive. I did not choose to be what I am.” His low, smooth tones slide out from his jaws easily and although he knows she may have been joking, he wasn’t one for humor when it came to his very being.

“If that is not cursed, I do not know what is.
