The air is heavy as you make your way through unknown territory, as you pause to sniff the air a drop of rain falls onto your nose. It is soon followed by another and another and soon the rain is pelting down in sheets, soaking you to the bone. The clouds are an angry purple and the menacing drumming of thunder rolls over the sky. Squinting your eyes against the blinding water you find yourself at the edge of a large, dark pine forest. You are too desperate for shelter to notice the scents that mark the border and plunge in, and nearly into the chilly stream that runs through the territory. You veer away and as you are shaking the water out of your fur you notice a large pair of icy blue shards gazing at you. The storm has passed now and beams of sunlight filter through the thick canopy of pines, illuminating a massive male wolf not three feet away from where you stand.

His pelt looks like a bad patchwork job of black and white and beneath them you see large, hard bands of steely muscle and you know this is a warrior for his torso is marred with many battle scars. His banner curls over his back and his lips are drawn, exposing sharp ivory daggers. When he speaks his voice is deep and dominant, like the thunder you so recently heard.

"Wolf, you have found yourself in the terra of the Andere Seite Pack. I am Eclipse, king of this land."

It is only then that you notice another pair of lanterns gleaming in the penumbra and a dark-pelted fae slinks out into the clearing to stand next to the king, her own banner waves and her green and blue eyes bore into you. She is the same size as most males and a crisscrossing pattern of scars show that she too can take care of herself. Her voice is cold and has a snake-like sound to it yet you can see they are both fair rulers.

"And I am Nephthys, queen of Andere. We don’t care much for strangers so you must make your choice, Submit to us now or flee our lands and never return. If you fail to do either you will have little time left to regret it."

The formidable pair pierces you with their gaze and you feel as if all your secrets spill out before them. You are left with a decision now. Will you submit and take refuge in this dark forest or will you flee and never know what secrets these trees hide? Make haste, you can see that the pair grow tired of waiting.

What Is This World Coming To? [PACK MEETING; JOINING WOLVES INVITED]

Sometimes Cade lost herself in the oblivion of life's repetition. One day followed after the other and nothing new much happened. Oddly enough, the vultures that had once circled Andere in a ceaseless dance had disappeared after Eric sent the last challenger packing. It had been at great cost to him and Cade had sent him to the battle as a way to feed her ire with something other than attempting to hurt Eric or her mother for what she felt had been an utter betrayal. She had since forgiven him of course...mostly anyway. But she had wandered away from the social life she was supposed to be living, leading her people, and once more found that she had probably crippled her pack with her absence. Andere hardly seemed alive on a good day, but when she came around from her long absences, it was obvious to anyone with eyes that it was a barren place lacking any form of life. It was only Cade who knew that the inhabitants of Andere were skulking in the shadows, awaiting their queen's call before emerging from the brush as if naught but a day had gone by.

Steadily walking to the oh so familiar clearing where Cade's mother once held her court, she allowed her blood red paws to drag, her nails catching on the taller stalks of yellowed grass. winter was fast approaching, riding upon the back of the biting wind that struck up at just that moment. It nipped at Cade's ivory pelt as she turned her face to it, inviting the cold breeze to caress her. she closed her mismatched gaze and reclined on the stout rock that jutted up from the center of the clearing. She had once playfully fought to push her brother off this same rock. Briefly she wondered if he might heed her call. It had been a long time since she mocked his crimson ass and pushed him around in the way that only siblings could. Not that pushing him around was an easy task. The big lug outweighed her now and her sharp wit was nearly her only weapon against him. Oh and Eric. How she missed Eric. Her heart was still confused on the matter of her feelings, but she knew without a doubt that something about him made her feel whole.

Sick of contemplating those whom she loved and wished at her side, she tilted her skull back. The wind had died down to a softer billow, but it seemed ready to carry her voice as she let a howl pour out from her maw. Her vocal chords vibrated with the changes in pitch as she implored for all those members and those wishing to join Andere to seek her out. She was sick of being lonely and wished to insinuate herself into the stitching of Andere Seite's fabric once more. Reclined as she was, the queen brought her painted skull back to a level position and watched with the tremendous weight of hope for her followers to step through what little shrubs were left around the bases of the trees that ringed the clearing. A fleeting thought that it might snow soon passed her by as she settled herself and commanded herself to patience.
