Though Khasekhemwy was perhaps one of the least intimidating gods - for Danny, at the very least - there was something in his distressed tone and horrified look that caused Solarius to duck guiltily as if he were the one in trouble. The big cat eyed the kitchen table for a moment, wondering if he could squeeze his massive form under there entirely or if, as it did at home, his tail would give him away. Thankfully, though, the deity and his student were saved from any such attempts as Khasekhemwy got to his feet, mumbling and pacing the length of the kitchen while Danny and Sol watched him.

"Uh," Danny said, wincing at the rather unintelligent answer. He squinted as he calculated his hours; he often got up early to study, bringing his books with him to work on during lunch, and then stayed up late to continue. It seemed like the more information he put into his head, the harder he studied, the less time he had to think of other, more emotional, things. But still, his homework was split between both Khasekhemwy's work and Dr. Gupta's, so he wasn't sure if he ought to say the whole number or only the portion he worked on Khasekhemwy's. "About four hours, I think, sir, on your homework at least. I study mornings, at lunch, and at night in addition to Dr. Gupta's medical homework."

Danny gnawed his lower lip, unsure how the god would react to this, and was immensely relieved when Khase distracted himself with the flame. It seemed as good a time as any to reveal his parcel, which he promptly placed on the table at Khasekhemwy's hopeful reply. Danny stood there for a moment, looking a bit confused, before he realized what the god was looking for.

"Oh!" he said abruptly, casting an equally unsure glance about the kitchen. "You need... plates, and stuff..."

Danny, casting a nervous glance in the god's direction, poked through a bit of the clutter until he finally acquired a plate, knife, and fork while discreetly tidying up things here and there.

"Here's some!"
