Glorall

Disaster has struck!
Flooding from the north has taken its toll on Glorall. The large tides combined with the increase in water draining from the Ruieze River has flooded the lower regions of the pack. The sandy soil, compounded with so much water, has toppled a lot of trees. Traveling is difficult even when the water is shallower, with the sandy soil below being difficult to find traction on. The daily tides seem to keep the level of flooding fairly consistent, too.

During the low tide, wolves may be able to move around the higher dunes (with some difficulty) but during high tide, the pack is almost impossible to safely navigate. Swimming is possible, but the risk of currants and surges from either the ocean or the river are very real. The island off of the coast of Glorall is untouched by either issue, although it is incredibly difficult to find your way there without being an adept swimmer with plenty of good luck!

Note: Glorall will reopen once 30 posts have been completed (or at Staff discretion). During this time, new threads will receive a 'Surprise','Disaster', and prizes. Glorall is currently not open for challenges.

She had to admit that it was a little... strange that he did not even bother to look at her. Usually, she was accustomed to being at least side eyed but nothing from him! It gave him an air of mystery, she supposed, as she starred up with wide, curious eyes. What was he thinking? What was he doing? His ears moved an awful lot more than she was used to; for a moment, she attempted to mimic him, her ears twitching and flickering about. It hardly seemed like all that different to usual, and with a shrug, she gave up on her endeavor and returned to her prior mission: discovering what he was up to!

As he spoke, her attention immediately returned back to the ocean before her, her head tilted slightly as he spoke. As his paw moved to the water, she too shuffled closer on her belly, allowing the water to tickle at her legs which stuck out in front of her. For a moment, the water seemed almost warm but quickly enough, it turned chilled once more. His explanation quickly satiated her curiosity, though perhaps it incited a new one all the more.

"I wonder how big it really is. Nobody's ever seen the end of it, I don't think."

At least nobody that she knew and certainly not herself. Sometimes, she enjoyed gazing out over the blue in hopes of catching sight of something - land, or another wolf. What she was on the look out, she didn't know but she did know that there had to be something else out there. She'd seen lakes and rivers, after all, and they always had another side. She flopped a little more onto her side once more so that she might look at him while she spoke, intending fully to interrogate him about what he knew in regards to that other side but alas, he caught her off guard with his own question. Who was she? It made her gasp a little in surprise, her brows raising. He didn't know?! Hadn't he seen her racing about like a wrecking ball? Well, he'd find out now - and without all her mother's complaints about her!

"Haziel, huh? That's a cool name. What's it mean? I'm Mana."

With that, she rolled onto her back, her ears being lapped at by the sea as she continued to watch up at him. Her breath was finally starting to come back and yet, she was more inclined to just sit and listen for now. After all, she hadn't met him before and maybe he knew things she did not.
