Enocra Woodland

Pine, spruce and firs alike...
Dense coniferous forests cover the woodlands, with clearings, paths and the occasional wildberry shrub throughout. Pine, spruce and fir make up much of the forest in the east, with the forest becoming swampier in the west towards Mecor Valley. In the west, cypress trees dominate, with fallen trees creating bridges across and throughout the stillwaters.

Sven
Fight your foes you’re on your own;
Holy war is on the phone;
The bleeding loss of blood runs cold.

He had chosen.

It wasn’t what anyone thought he would pick, not even himself if he were to be honest but he had chosen the mountain over the forest that was his birthplace. The reason? Even he didn’t fully know or understand. Sven simply felt it was right. Why? He had felt trapped in Spirane for years, since when did his prison become his home? Why was it his home? He had no idea, he didn’t really even care to be honest. He was happy there he guessed, now that it was his choice he wanted to take a part in the pack and become something there and for them. But what? He always wanted to be a warrior, a fighter and help prevent wolves from ending up in his position. Was that what he still wanted to be? It sounded good to him. But now that he had chosen to live in Spirane and he was two years old he had to do something.

For another time perhaps, for as these thoughts fill his mind the voice of the fem he used to hate so much came down into the den that had become his home. He let no words of protest come from his maw, he stood following her out of the den before easily loping after her, black and silver form bobbing lightly behind her as, for the first time in years, he had left the land of the mountain for the free lands. Sven wasn’t sure what she was doing by this leading him into the forest. It was funny how things changed. He followed behind the fem who he nearly equaled in height now so different than the small 6 inch tall creature that first had been taken to Spirane. He was going to get bigger too, his body was still greatly disproportionate to his large paws he wasn’t stopping growing any time soon.

He followed her in silence looking around the forest until finally she stopped and he followed suit, moving around the small unfamiliar clearing. The white fem says his name and his bright orange gaze moving towards her own bright blue arching one of his eyebrows curious to what she wanted. She began speaking and it felt like his stomach dropped and his fur prickled lightly. He couldn’t remember this spot. Not anymore, but she did somehow. He looked at her with questioning eyes his fur prickling lightly though not really in anger at her. He looked away gaze turning around the clearing that perhaps had changed over the two years since that incident that he had thought ultimately killed his brother and changed his life as he knew it. Sven knew better to interrupt though. It seemed at last she was coming clean about somethings she had kept hidden from him.

He was still a bit naïve to what the world could have potentially had in store for him should Natu not have taken him that day. Still though he didn’t speak. He wasn’t surprised that she considered him her son and perhaps for a moment a ghost of a smile tinged his maw that then vanished. She was proud of him though? For what? Picking his kidnapper over his real family? Most probably thought he was insane. But she needed to get things off her chest and he remained silent listening to her.

It came as a shock then as she stated at one time she had her own children. Pups from a mate a long time ago before coming to Moladion. He felt, bad, and in a way that explained why so badly she had tried to make him happy. She was inadvertently given something she had lost so long ago and he sort of understood of that. When she finally finished he gave a sight.

”I’m sorry for you loss.” He said truly feeling so, but still why tell him this now? Perhaps it didn’t really matter, perhaps she was trying to close a gap so that they may become closer. ”I-I honestly don’t know why I chose to stay. It just… didn’t feel right. Heimdallr is alive. He might have lost his sight, but… he’s alive and that’s a lot better than I thought he was. I guess with that out of my conscience I felt better too. I blamed myself too that he ‘died’ without him being gone I guess I felt better.” He admitted, ”I don’t know that I was angry at you, Natu. More at myself for all this time.” If they were being honest with one another. He still didn’t know if he could bring himself to call her mom though, not yet at least.

”I want to be stronger though, Natu. Do you think that I can train? Isn’t your friend Sleekwing the best warrior?” The boy questioned, ”You… you think I am good enough to train?”
