She had been trying her best to learn as much as possible between tailing Magnus and Viora and playing the part to her brothers. As much as she loved them, she had begun to feel a thirst for a more dangerous life. She'd settle for exciting, at least, as she never wished to bring danger to her family, even if her mother had seemingly brought her more siblings. As young as she still was, she had not entirely accepted them - after all, they took away so much attention that had previously been hers. Plus, they could make sounds. Try as she might, she had never been able to utter a single noise. Others saw it as a weakness, so did that make her younger siblings better than her? Pride, however, dictated that no, in fact, it did not. After all, she had been dedicated to learning and though it had been a slow process, she had begun to understand the unique plants of the world. Even materials such as web and tree bark made for interesting learning materials and soon enough, she had become quite confident in herself. She did not believe there anything that could stop her. The smell of blood, however, might have been one thing she had not encountered entirely yet. At least, wolf blood was not so familiar. She had smelt her own before, not only during the hunt but also during her adventures but the scent of a stranger's was... strange. That was part of healing though, right? You had to be used to blood because you would see a lot of it. Was she ready? Perhaps, though she supposed she'd find out soon as she ambled towards the den of none other than Sekera. For the most part, the stranger had been reclusive but that didn't matter. Her pregnancy had been noted and so had the sudden arrival of childish squeaks and thus, Apollinari had arrived with her makeshift supplies. Slowly, she approached the mouth of the den. Being unable to speak left her at a disadvantage but she made sure her presence was known; she had approached from up wind, allowing her scent to arrive before her. Now, she had made her paw steps as noticeable as possible, standing in the broad light and waving her tail so that the other might see her. She had to try her hardest to be noticed, sniffing wearily at the den. There was blood - she knew that - so she hoped to get in soon. It was moments like this that she wished for a voice, or at least for her brothers to be there. |
