| It does not take long for me to run into someone in these woods, or rather they run in to me, literally. I head foot steps near me, causing me to stop in my search, and as my ears swiveled to pin point just who was coming towards me, they bumped right into me. I was taken by surprise, stumbling slightly by the sudden contact of someone not paying attention.
When I regained my footing, I was quick to spin around and see just what had happened. My split blue and green eyes landed on a female of many colors and gold and light purple eyes that reminded me of flowers. She had fallen back on her butt from the contact, looking up at me suddenly. She is quick to apologize, but in a way I had not expected: silently like me. Her head lowers and tilts to the side in a way of apologizing. I offer her a smile and nod my head, my way of telling her that it was okay. I then wag my tail in greeting to the girl, who I have come to realize is mute like me. My head tilts to the side curiously, wondering who she is. I wonder if she will mouth her name to me, for that is what I do when others ask. I can smell no pack in her scent, and I silently wonder if she is looking for a place to call her own, if she would like to come back to Asteraia with me. It was hard being mute, I would know. If she wanted to come with me, she would find a place she truly belonged like I had. They were accepting and treated me as an equal, not like someone with a handicap. It was pleasant there.
