Dylan was still mad. Danny didn't need to see - or hear - his brother to know it, but it still made his stomach clench when Dylan strolled into the kitchen. Dylan was avoiding him and Danny, well, Danny really was miserable at trying to be sneaky. He sighed, the sound coming out a bit more relieved than he'd originally intended, as Dylan tossed the damp towel at him. Danny gnawed at his lip, unsure how to answer Dylan's question when the answer that immediately came to mind ("you to stop being so grouchy!") didn't seem like it would help the situation at all. Thankfully, Danny was temporarily rescued from having to answer when his twin spotted the cake he'd made sure to acquire beforehand. His brother took a seat across from him, something Danny hoped was a good sign, and dug into the treat. When Dylan's familiar eyes lifted to him, Danny swallowed hard and finally managed to unstick his tongue.

"Iwantedtotalktoyouabout," Danny began, all at once. He cleared his throat awkwardly, took a deep breath, and tried again. "I wanted to talk to you about something, and ask you for some... help, if you wanted to. I know you know that something happened with Renn recently, and I'm sorry I didn't tell you what happened, it was just..." Danny shook his head, knowing it wasn't the time for excuses and that Dylan probably didn't care to hear them. He'd put his book down when Dylan spoke, but now fiddled a bit anxiously with the cover. "I sort of... accidentally... met Henry. He didn't tell me he was Henry, or I would've said something to someone, you know." Danny paused just long enough to peek at his brother through his lashes, hoping Dylan believed him. "And then Renn wanted help with her sketches, and she had one of him - Henry - and so I... kinda... asked her who it was and then she asked me what happened and... she exploded."

Danny cleared his throat. "I mean, lost it. She wanted to charge off to go find him, and when Flynn wouldn't let her. She was just... so sad, and it was all so... confusing," Danny clasped his hands in his lap then, not sure what else to say. Then he remembered his plan. "I want to track down Henry. But you know me, I'm not... ah, physical, and he's a pirate, so... If you wanted to... I thought you might come along..."

Danny stopped then (at last) and held his breath. He never liked feeling tense or awkward around his twin, and he was desperately hoping that, even if Dylan didn't agree to the plan, he'd at least accept that Danny hadn't intentionally kept him out of the loop.

Solarius' grin was totally unrepentant, his playful nature and obvious delight at Lunarian's disgust totally at odds with the rather serious discussion occurring just a few feet away. He wanted to be serious, honest, but it was hard to pass up an opportunity to torment his brother. Sol flattened himself to the floor, slinking towards Lu as he attempted to lick him (and therefore spread the stink).

"Don't be a crabbycake, Lu," he teased. "Not all bugs taste bad! And sometimes stinky stuff is awesome!"
