Ruieze Fields

Open fields and soft grass...
Ruieze stretches far in the midlands of Moladion, laced with streams that feed into Diveen and out of Asteraia at times. The fields are vast, filled with wildflowers and tall, soft grass; trees are sparse, as are rocks, but one can find small shrubs to hide amongst, and the grass itself. To the south of the fields, a Ruieze River widens, and the ground becomes sandy. There is a small, grassy island that can be reached from the banks, with water-birds often congregating on the island rather than the riverbanks.

I'll worship like a dog at the shrine of your lies.

He was easy to laugh, a quality which she couldn’t help but enjoy. There were few light hearted individuals left in the world, even she struggled to find anything worth laughing about recently, but she appreciated such a pleasant change of pace. Naturally he doubted her reasoning, but she was much cleverer than he might give her credit for. “Ah, then clearly you have never upset them quite so bad as I have,” she said with a sly wink, “they can be very quarrelsome when they want.” There was an attempt at seriousness in her voice, though the fact that she was biting back laughing didn’t help much.

She is glad he doesn’t pull away as she nears him, so close that her whiskers twitch out of pure instinct over anything else. It means he’s not one to run from a challenge, to shy away at the unknown and somewhat…unnatural flavor of their acquaintance. Their behavior was not the standard for their species and yet there was a certain thrill in it all. Wit for wit. “Neirin is not such a terrible name, there are surely worse things to be called out there, lord knows I have spoken them before. Besides, it has a certain fluidity to it.” She offered him a slight smile though she could not quite decide why. Placating the worries of strangers was not typical.

Her golden head shook slightly attempting to rearrange her thoughts as he continued on, perhaps she was too long out of practice with such encounters. First born? Her brow quirked up in intrigue. She studied him a bit closer, the flecks of gray hairs which had begun blooming around his muzzle and eyes, even running down his shoulders and chest. He still seemed quite sturdy, and yet age was leaving its mark on him. As it does them all. Still by his synopsis he was more than a little familiar with this land and she would press every advantage she could find.

Shifting on her haunches she sized up his offer, it had been a while since someone had offered themselves up to her, but it was good to know she had not lost her edge. Batting long lashes over aquamarine eyes she finally responded. “As you obviously know the lay of the land do fill the new girl in. Are there resident packs, do you belong to any of them? And perhaps once done you can show me a few things,” her words lilted as she held his gaze. Innuendo was a powerful thing.
