Burning pools gazed at the flower as he spoke of it. He is right, never have I seen an ivory rose, nor have I shared the sunbeams with one.
He was calm with words, and it put me at ease, reminding me of the elder in my older pack, the one who had seen his better days all while watching his spastic little sister. He passed a long while before my father did, and I miss him just as much as home.
Head slightly shaking as an answer to his query. "I don't mind at all..." I mumble. He had caught glimpse of the rose before I, and even if I'd seen it first, I have no one to give the glory to.
I caught his gaze as he examined me, and as flattered as I am I wondered what it is he is thinking about. The skin of my cheeks burned and my gaze faltered, I turn my eyes away quickly while silently clearing my throat.
The smell of others and this place are thick, sticking to his pelt like honey. I'm not quite sure why, but I know that I can trust this one, so I gracefully and slowly made my way to his side.
"Who will it be for?" I gaze into the depths of the peddles before I meet his, a soft smile pulling at the corners of my lips.
