Enocra Woodland

Pine, spruce and firs alike...
Dense coniferous forests cover the woodlands, with clearings, paths and the occasional wildberry shrub throughout. Pine, spruce and fir make up much of the forest in the east, with the forest becoming swampier in the west towards Mecor Valley. In the west, cypress trees dominate, with fallen trees creating bridges across and throughout the stillwaters.

It has gotten cold outside once more, as the world once again transitions to the season we know as winter. The world is about to go into its hibernation, bringing along with it more than a few of its prey creatures. The mostly black female knows that the frost, that sent all the tiny prey scurrying for their holes this morning, is only the beginning. Hence her internal fight between loving other wolves, and being afraid to trust them again after her old pack abandoned her. She walks through the woods she has come to know so well; this being the place she had first met Niviaq, not only her first friend of this land friend but also the first she had met within the borders of Moladion. Her mismatched gaze grew distant staring at the mountain her friend once explained to her as being Spirane, home of a pack and her friend. She wondered how her friend was doing, it had been awhile she had last seen the other female; Niviaq had invited her back then to stay in Spirane, but for whatever reason the plan had fallen apart due to circumstances neither could control. Sure Niviaq had invited her to come whenever she liked, but the idea of being around a lot of wolves made her stomach turn with uneasiness. Her white tipped ears flicked at a noise snapping her out of her recollection, now out of head she smelled the scent of rabbit being carried to her from upwind. Carefully fallowing the scent making as little noise as she could, until it was really close; she lowered herself, taking a deep breath in order to lower her heart rate, after all what kind of hunter would she be if she allowed her racing heart to alert her prey. she smoothly glided over the ground lightening her paw steps so her sharp-eared prey would hear her getting closer with each movement until she was able to pear through the tall grass. To her surprise the scent lead to a small group of rabbits by the very river she had swam in with Niviaq. Two were attempt to bait a third, who was supinely laying, into playing with them to little avail. She decided the lazy one would be her target today, so that even if he caught on there would be delay in him getting away. Her fine muscles gathered beneath her pelt of day and night. She almost immediately realizes when the winds change course sending the rabbits into a panic, the two that were up almost immediately darted away; the other scrambled to get up, and the chase was on. She chased the little brown furred creature, until it turned and that was its mistake. She lunged, biting down on its neck, then tucking her head, allowing her hindquarters fly over her torso. Her momentum didn't carry her any farther though, so she ended up on her back. Slightly dizzy she rolled to her feet, giving herself a firm shake, then made her way to the river for a few laps of water.
