Aplos Riverside

Moladion’s powerful, winding river...
Aplos River is a broad, slow-moving river originating from somewhere beneath the mountains of Spirane and feeding Iromar’s moors in the south. The northern parts of the river are known for their strong currents, with the water becoming slow moving in the south. The riverbanks vary along its course, ranging from soft hummock grasses to small groups of pine, and sometimes nothing but pebbles and sand. Crossing can be difficult at times, but it can be swam or bridged by fallen trees or boulders alike.

A man unwilling to fight for what he wants, deserves what he gets.

I still have much to learn of my new home. There are still wolves to meet, lands to venture, and food to taste.
A whole season has passed since I'd last seen the little Antoinette, she disappeared shortly after offering me a tour. With my luck, I had lost her and found myself wondering alone. Now it is fall, the flourishing greens of trees and grass have now turned to bright reds and burnt oranges, some hay yellows and still the pines remain that dark green of which they will stay until the needles are shed.
The white pelt which covers me had gone from full to merely fluff, as I gain my winter coat for this next coming season. The air has cooled, my breath leaving steam in the air with every exhale I let go.

It is morning, just as the sun rises above the highest peaks of the mountains, sprouting rays of gold across the autumn colors upon the land. A light fog blankets the grass, where fresh, cold dew sprinkles the blades. A moment to enjoy at the most.
I've always been one to awaken just as dawn hits. I find it comforting for thinking. Many thoughts fume my head of my past, and the morning is what calms those unforgettable thoughts.
I have a passion for the colors, colors of which my pelt lacks unfortunately. All of my life I've caught glimpse of others with the most lustrous hued coats, when mine has become color blind.
I can't believe that I think of the most bazaar things that nearly sadden me.

I move closer to the river, stepping into it's cool flowing, and shallow water. I dip my dial low to lap up the icy fluid, freezing my pipes as it rushes to my stomach. I shiver, my hackles bristling momentarily as I shake off the chill. I lift my head, water droplets falling from my chin as golden rimmed auburn eyes glance around. I'm sure there is something to get into. Not to be a turmoil of any sort.

The scent of two packs linger on the light winds, one north, and the other south. I'd much rather keep my distance from the both of them, seeing as I'm still a bit new with no inkling of knowing more than a single soul. I thought about searching the grotto for my little princess, but I want to be careful not to smother her. Maybe I was just too much for the lass.

A grin grazed my lips as I turn an leap from the water, landing on the luscious bank before resting my haunches upon it. White ears twist and turn, at a perk, listening for small movement beyond. The sun has risen over the mountains, the morning air chilling my bones. My grin falls to a smile as I lift and begin my stroll. I guess it is time to get this day started.

[sorry, it could've been better x( my mind drew a blank so I just went with it!]
