Ruieze Fields

Open fields and soft grass...
Ruieze stretches far in the midlands of Moladion, laced with streams that feed into Diveen and out of Asteraia at times. The fields are vast, filled with wildflowers and tall, soft grass; trees are sparse, as are rocks, but one can find small shrubs to hide amongst, and the grass itself. To the south of the fields, a Ruieze River widens, and the ground becomes sandy. There is a small, grassy island that can be reached from the banks, with water-birds often congregating on the island rather than the riverbanks.

i'll worship like a dog at the shrine of your lies;

Things were complex. It was a way of life, but not something she had to deal with before. Before if things got complicated she could simple continue on somewhere else, start again with a clean slate. It wasn’t that easy any more. She had her Sun and her Moon. Two sides of her universe, each with a pull like gravity; one to her soul and one to her heart. It wasn’t something you just walked away from, but it was a situation had tangled her up inside and out. Still, she was growing to love the life she had made here. While relationships kept her tethered to the ground, she still found freedom in wandering outside of Asteraia.

That is what sent her flying through the wooded lands to the south of those hills, weaving with grace through the thick trunks which towered above her. Her gaze lifted up to their boughs, only now beginning to change slightly with the onset of autumn. The seasons had shifted mere days ago, the warm breezes of summer getting slightly cooler while the temperatures dropped more in the evenings than they had before. She would miss the warm nights of summer and long days spent lounging in the shade, but all things must circle around.

Her golden form broke from the trees and she found herself back in the fields where she had first met Neirin, her sun. She pulled up, falling into a comfortable trot rather than a flat out run. She headed deeper in to the fields, her soft pads falling almost silently on the supple earth until she reached the bare shores of Ruieze Lake. She pulled to a halt and finally sat on the banks, watching the evening sun ripple across the water and spotting the hint of the coming full moon over the horizon. The sun and moon hanging in the sky together was a rare sight and it struck a chord in her heart. If the sky could share them both why could not she? She sighed, running her dark claws through the damp sand in slight exasperation. Choices were coming, she knew, one day soon she would find herself at one crossroad after a next and unable to fly away the wolf with wings would be forces, for once in her life, to make the hard decisions.
