The Swim

Whispering Shadows snorted in amusement at the female's enthusiasm. He trotted in after her, pushing against the current. He swam with powerful strokes of his muscled legs, and watched in awe as the she dunked her head. As the she-wolf closed her eyes, enjoying the beauty and warmth of the day, he dove down into the depths of a deeper section in the river.
The sunlight shimmered down threw the water, and the clear water revealed the fish, scattered as the wolves disturbed the current. He spotted a fish, swaying in the water, the sunlight causing it's silver scales to glisten. He swam and snatched the fish before pushing himself up out of the water. A little fishing trick he had learned from a aging wolf at Leisure Lake. He was glad the trick worked in moving water, and he swam over to the shore.
He saw Alisen laying in the shallows of the water, and didn't mind her staring. He padded away a few paces, and shook out his black fur. The dampness caused his fur to be an extremely dark black. He smoothed his pelt over using the smooth stone beneath his paws, then padded over to the fish and carried it over to the lounging female. He gently set it at her paws, his ears flicking and blue eyes glinting in the sunlight.
"Have you ever tried fish before?" Whispering Shadows questioned. He himself had tried fish before, and although it wasn't his favorite, he still enjoyed the taste. The taste was something he would consider a small treat. He nudged the fish closer to the she, wondering if she would like it. If she didn't, he would simply find something else to please the beautiful she-wolf.
